ShockWiz is a tuning assistant for air-sprung mountain bike forks and rear shocks. It combines sensor hardware and this app to improve suspension set-up for all terrain and riding styles. ShockWiz is compatible with most air-sprung suspension forks and rear shocks, from many different manufacturers. Why ShockWiz? Many mountain bike riders don't understand what their suspension adjustments do, or how to tune their suspension for best performance. ShockWiz's finely-tuned algorithms automatically determine what settings should give you the best ride possible.
ShockWiz is designed for all mountain bike riders, regardless of your riding style or how much suspension travel your bike has. It works on hardtails and dual suspension bikes.
Features
- Finely tuned algorithms deliver easy to use recommendations
- Tune for your riding style: Cross-country, Trail, All Mountain or Downhill
- Detect undesirable characteristics such as pogo, pack-down and bob
- Assess shock health — how well your suspension is set up for you
- Calculate air time
- Recommendations are displayed on the intuitive app

This system is garbage and expensive. The connection is slightly dodgy. The device turns off if you are idle for too long (like on a bike park lift). Each ride and feedback has to be deleted in order to start a new one, why? There is no reason you couldn't use it to record your suspension settings for compression and rebound in the app. It would be so easy to make it so much better but it's just poor.

I've had this device for years, and until a recent update this device was near perfect. Recently however I could no longer see previous ride suggestions after saving a profile post ride. After reaching out to the Sram team, they listened to my issue and did a backend update that fixed the problem. This is back to having the full functionality. I'm really impressed by the customer service and responsiveness in keeping even older units up to date and working.

My profiles all disappeared! Support explained that the architecture of the profiles had been revised to ensure compatibility with newer Android devices. I had not used the SRAM ID account, and only profiles that were previously saved under this account are still available. But the profiles could have been migrated to the new format under the hood. A user warning before the deletion would have been the minimum requirement so that you could back up your settings with screenshots or otherwise!

Profile button (IE saved suspension set up) disappeared from app and it has now appeared but my previous profiles and ride settings have disappeared. What's point in software if you cant look at previous settings? I had rated shock Wiz highly (see original review below). However now it's one star. Good for setting up suspension. I have learned a great deal & my suspension works better plus I am tweaking for different trails. Unfortunately Bluetooth connection to shockwiz often takes a while.

Hi, the app will not connect via bluetooth without location services being enabled which I am not willing to do. I remember that this was not the case for previous iterations of the app. Can you tell me what the functional and technical requirement is for shockwiz/the app to capture location data as I assume it works flawlessly (as it has before) w/o this data? [EDIT after Dev. response] Thanks! However I installed V 8.0.0 today and am running Android 9 and had no troubles connecting via BT

App looks like it's made in a high school project. Most free apps have better design. Does not look like the app for a 300$ device. But OK it functions, and the feedback is very cool but I miss access to raw data and a data meter (showing how much data had been collected). Some times I ride for a day, and it seems that it almost hasn't gathered any data (e.g. jump count=2). I would like some measure of number of data points, not the confidence bar %, which tells me very little.

I have 2 shockwiz and I've been tracking rides for more than 6 months. Plenty of useful information..BUT... Calibrating shockwiz could be made easier. It won't come up with the same number each time you do it (no changes to shock or fork). I ended up coming up with my own approach which is way more consistent. After regularly saving ride profiles the app, for no explicable reason threw away all of them except the archived ones and it won't save new ones. Reinstalling app does not help. Useless

Stats don't save when you download a ride to a profile. Was in direct contact with them about this back in October 2020, and they said in November 2020 that they identified the issue and have submitted a request to get it fixed. Also, the user interface is a bit confusing from time to time. For example - ride logs are called profiles which you can then upload (or is it download?) back onto the shockwiz.
