Opensignal speed tests measure your mobile connectivity and signal strength. Opensignal runs a 5 second download test, 5 second upload test and a ping test to provide a consistently accurate measurement of the internet speed you will likely experience. The speed test runs on common internet CDN servers. The internet speed result is calculated with the middle range of samples.
Video playback test

Still no fix for my Google Pixel 8 Pro running the latest Android 15. The app use to work great but the app will not show any upload speed as it is ALWAYS 0. It's been over a Week and still nothing. I even tried to uninstall and reinstall and still will not show any upload speeds. I've been a long time power user of this app but I think I may need to look elsewhere. 1 Star until fixed.

Use this reg & its usually good most times. The info can prove really helpful & useful when trying to defend urself against mobile carrier claims of service etc in ppls local area but some of the data recently don't seem accurate at all anymore not sure what happened. The tower data looks same etc but for ex the arrow pointing in direction of ur connected cell tower doesn't make any sense cuz it points in the opposite direction now. And moves constantly?! Would VPN cause this inaccurate readin?

Mediocre. Not nearly as good as Sensorly was before it shut down. Ads have been removed and the app has been greatly improved, thanks! There is no measurement mode. I want to expand signal maps at the time of my choice and have zero battery usage and privacy impact otherwise. Useful, but I'm looking for something better.

New phone (S7) locate cell tower points the wrong way! I know where the new tower is, and app points about 90 degrees west of actual new tower. No service before new tower. Map portion shows no towers. LOVE THIS App. It helped me find a signal booster/range extender a neighbor added to steal my internet connection. PS they had to trespass as I am in the middle of 15 acres. Thanks!

Although the app has a considerable array of features, it is still simple and straightforward to use. Furthermore, one of the reasons I'm giving it five stars is that there is no shortage of explanations for the technical terms having to do with telecommunications, wireless signals, data streams etc. I was never bothered by any ads, and the physical functionality of it and the extensive database of coverage maps is not lacking at all, in my opinion.

Seen the app change over time, used on several devices. Developer please do not go super user friendly. Always keep advanced features available for people who want more details/more stats. You have a good app going and are doing good work. Cell towers map can't ever seem to find cell towers STILL, after all these app updates. I keep hoping one day it will work. Obv the lack of ads and nagging for ratings is a pleasant plus. Whole heartedly support you!
Pivot Points
The new app has hidden and over simplified the cell phone tower locations map. This was an important feature since phones often use multiple towers at once with Dual-Band Dual-Cell HSDPA. Now it just points to the closest tower. If no one has already tested in that location (often happens in remote areas) this make it more difficult to figure how to get the best signal between towers or for planning a trip in advance with the inability to choose a different location and the lack of information.

This app is easy to use. You can find out how strong your signal is with a push of a button.Find out what towers are in your area, and which one you are getting your signal from. You can see what cell phone providers are strongest in your area (Verizon, AT&T & T-Mobile). The only thing I wish I could do with this app is to change which tower I'm using when I have a weak signal just to see if I can get a better signal. Besides that I'm really pleased ☺ and happy with this app 😊 2 thumbs 👍 👍up!
