Didn't need to use a VPN for long, but when I did I got recommended TunnelBear. There were some hiccups here and there, but in the end of it all, I leave pleasently satisfied with the service. Would definitely recommend others and come back when I need a VPN again. P.S. There is a secret 'bear noises' feature in the settings menu that is off by default. I recommend switching it on for the full experience.

Great when it works, but it's an extremely inconsistent service. My biggest issue is the lack of feedback when it's having trouble connecting Some form of error message would make that easier to deal with. I've also run into issues where it will tell me I'm connected to a server, yet my IP information remains the same. Paid for a month, but cancelled the subscription not long after signing up.

Used to work great, now it doesn't work more than it does. Constantly disconnects. I shouldn't have to uninstall and reinstall the app as many times as I've had to get it to start working again. Many websites recognize the VPNs and won't let you connect to the site. I'll be glad when my subscription is up and I can be done with this app.

Nice when it works, but it usually doesn't. Connecting is a struggle and can take 10+ attempts over half an hour, if it ever works at all. Edit to specify: It'll fail to connect after hitting the button and stay "disconnected". Eventually toggling itself off after about 5 minutes. Never establishing a connection. Trying again for 30+ minutes is the only fix and just hoping it sorts itself out. Restarting the app, your phone, and so on does not help.

It is by far one of the worst VPN services I have ever used. Through the UI, it makes these "connections" that dont actually connect. Which makes you close the app and retry these connections over and over until it works or you want to delete the app. If the free functions dont work properly, what makes you think I want to pay for your services monthly or yearly? Sad.

EDIT: Not too long after the devs responded to my review, nothing works! How ironic. It's mediocre, at best. Once I choose a location, it'll take forever for it to connect. When it does say I have a secure connection, it doesn't work because I receive an error stating I am not in the proper region/country.

I have to uninstall and reinstall every time I want to use it. Otherwise, it just gets stuck on loading. It will be lit up green and turned on, but say disconnected. No amount of restarting the app fixes this. I have to uninstall and reinstall every time. Very frustrating especially since I pay money to use this!

Often displays inaccurate information about the connection status to a server (says connected when not!), as well as which server is actually connected. I connected to GB, then switched to NZ, but my IP was coming back as GB, or after connecting to NZ my IP comes back as AU which I did not even connect to previously, so this is a different error in connecting to the wrong server. Reply response: This has nothing to do with the connection issues to New Zealand.
