The app looks nice and designed well for most part. However, its extreme unreliability makes it somewhat shite. The connection with Torpedo Captor X is interrupted all the time for no good reason. The app also freezes and stops working after switching to "IR loader" mode. IR loader mode is effectively defunct, since you can't choose IRs because of the freezes. I also wish there was an option to automatically mute the speaker when headphones are plugged in.

Terrible experience. Captor X 16 fails to connect to S22 Ultra on Android 14, iPhone 11 Max and iPhone 16 Max on iOS17.6.1. Permissions accepted. Location is enabled on all handsets and BLE Scanner 4.0 sees the device fine. Windows remote software says the Captor X 16 is on latest firmware. This is a brand new purchase. I shouldn't need to raise a support ticket to use 'out of the box' functionality. I have no faith they're competent enough to resolve the issue anyway. What a joke.

When I first got the captor x the app worked great with it every time I opened the app and had my Bluetooth running it automatically connected and I was on my way to epic tones. Now I can only hardwire to my MacBook to access the app because I cannot seem to get the app to work even after several reloads and re-pairing of bluetooth. I will also create a support ticket to try and help the app developers find the issue.

Works as advertised. Keep in mind that there's a lot of potential interactivity with several controls on two screens. Depending on the size of your device and especially if you're using a phone, you need to employ a bit of a delicate touch. Occasionally it won't connect on the first try but it's usually when I've forgotten to close the app after I'm done using the Captor X. If I quit the app, it always connects on the second try.

Love Two Notes products, I have the Torpedo CabM and it's honestly the center of my sound, live and recording. And this app makes it hella easy to configure all my different sounds and tweak things on the fly. I can't tell you how satisfying it is to be up on stage, pull out your phone to tweak things between songs, and have people be dumbfounded at how you just changed your entire sound from your phone. This is god like power for musicians!!!

Love the app, when it works. Version 1.3.10 has connection issues on Android 10. Edit: I still can't get it to work, but I no longer care. The inability to split the mics left and right is an inexcusable dealbreaker. I just use dry/wet settings now (wet for monitoring, and dry into my DAW where the VST plugin actually does what a cab sim should).

I have to reload the app to get it to connect to my android phone every time. It connects to my surface via hard wire just fine. The captor X itself is amazing it's just the app and the connectivity to my phone that I have a problem with.

Works for the most part. Turns out you have to be connected to the Internet for it to load your cabinets. So no airplane mode with Bluetooth on if you want to change your cabs
