Can't even add a device through the app, have to login and add via the web browser. 10/9/24 - 5 years later and this app is still trash. Open the app on a pixel 8 pro and it stays on the splash screen long enough for me to get up and turn off all the lights in the house manually before the app even loads its home screen.

8-2-21 I can no longer connect to my hub with the app. Only through the web portal. Reboot and reset have no effect. Frustrating! Original review in early 2020. So happy that I can now control all of my Schlage door locks after the last firmware update. I love my Vera controller and happy with the app version. The desktop login is still the only place for advanced options, but the app is perfect for day to day use.

Bought the latest controller, ezlo, after wink started to suck. Same experience I had years back. You wait for your devices to appear in the dashboard sometimes minutes. Good luck trying to get a hold of support. Update 6/5 Tried support as suggested. Called and left a message, no return call over a week later Will find a different system. What a joke. Almost a year now since they updated the app. No excuse for that

Believe it or not, our old, old Vera Lite controlled with the old UI5 interface finally stopped working. Bought a Ezlo Plus to replace it. Trying to use the Vera app to get all the scenes set up again. Problem is that when attempting to create a trigger for a particular date. The date displayed at first is correct, but when you click to change it the next month is displayed. You have to select a month ahead to get it right when you save. Any solution to this?

Too many issues. Can't find internet connection frequently. Never connected on the first opening. Looses settings constantly. April 28th 2020 UPDATED After going through the trouble of uninstalling and tracking down my password and resetting everything the app loaded. I didn't use it though because when I first saw it load all my hue lighting was showing fahrenheit temps instead of brightness. When Vera sold last year or the year before I had high hopes it would move forward but we're back to the same ole song and dance. May 4th 2020 UPDATED After changing to the official HUE things are back to normal. This was unexpected to have to deal with over a simple app update but I did raise them to 3 stars.

Ok, so the app stopped working earlier this month, prior to this it had been working fine for many years. I left a negative review which seems to have disappeared and also contacted Vera. Excellent customer support, my email was responded to promptly and instructions given on how to resolve the issue. Before I had the chance to follow the instructions, the a seems to have updated and all is well once more.

My biggest issue is this app doesn't have the same functionality of the website. As an example, I can turn my HVAC fan on from the site, but not from the app. Also, neither allow you to create fairly simple if statements. As an example, if the temp difference between 2 sensors is greater than a defined value, the fan will turn on. You can't even trigger the fan as an effect of a trigger. You can't control geofence for different controllers independently. either its active for both or neither.

This app is not glitch-free (yet), but I can vouch for the top-notch tech support team. They are nothing short of outstanding! I was back up and operating shortly after reporting the following issue: Downloaded the Android mobile app update (U17 compatible) this AM (11 April), now nothing works (keeps spinning when try to connect). Tried to download (from links included) U16 or U15 versions but got "link not found." My whole system is now dead in the water!
