This application is used to help assess an individual's subjective visual vertical. It is administered identically to the traditional "bucket test", but instead utilizes the accelerometer in the phone for a more accurate angle measurement. The individual can respond by pressing a Bluetooth button (a 'selfie stick' or 'shutter button') purchased separately from a 3rd party. The tester can also click on the screen to record the response angle if a button is not available.

In addition, the device has several advantages over traditional angle-finder bucket testing; the application automatically prompts the tester to set the bucket to certain randomized presets, stores all of the responses for a given test, and computes the average and variance of responses at the end of 6 trials.

Included in this application are the tester application itself as well as two PDF documents describing administration of the test and creation of the bucket respectively.

The VORC researchers conceived, developed, and are in the process of validating the data collected by this application. Publications utilizing this device will be added to the description as they become available.
