WHOOP is a wearable that tracks sleep, strain, recovery, stress, and health biometrics 24/7, providing you with personalized coaching based on your goals to help unlock your best performance. WHOOP is screenless, so all of your data lives in the WHOOP app — for a distraction-free focus on your health. The WHOOP app requires a WHOOP wearable.

WHOOP does more than track your activity — it translates your data into clear next steps. WHOOP captures your biometrics 24/7 to calibrate specifically to your body’s unique physiology, then recommending everything from when to go to bed to what behaviors to adopt to help you reach your goals.

Here's how it works:

Sleep: Every night, WHOOP calculates your sleep performance by measuring the sleep you got compared to the sleep your body needs. You'll wake up to a sleep score from 0 to 100%. Sleep Planner lets you know when you should go to bed to optimize your performance the following day. Now, with the release of WHOOP 4.0, Sleep Planner can also wake you when you've set an exact time, once you've reached your sleep goal, or when you're fully recovered using a quiet, vibrating haptic alarm.

Strain: WHOOP does more than just track your activity – it measures how much physical and mental stress you put on yourself throughout your day to calculate a daily Strain score ranging from 0 to 21. WHOOP measures both your cardiovascular and muscular load, even quantifying the impact of your strength training, to give you the most comprehensive view of the demands you put on your body. Every day, Strain Target will recommend your optimal target exertion range based on your Recovery score to help you maximize your gains without sacrificing your Recovery.

Stress: WHOOP gives you daily insight about your stress, and science-backed techniques to help manage it. Get a real-time stress score from 0-3, and based on your score, choose a breathwork session to either increase your alertness for performance, or increase relaxation in a stressful moment. See your stress trends over time to identify triggers.

Recovery: WHOOP lets you know how ready you are to perform by measuring your heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep, and respiratory rate. You'll get a daily Recovery score on a scale of 0 to 100%. When you're in the green, you're ready for strain, when you're in the yellow or red, you may want to evaluate your training program.

Behaviors: Track the impact of over 140 daily habits and behaviors, like alcohol intake, medication, stress, and more, to better understand how these various behaviors help or hurt you.

WHOOP Coach: Ask questions about your health & fitness and get highly personalized, specific-to-you answers on demand. Using your unique biometric data, the latest in performance science, and OpenAI's technology, WHOOP Coach generates responses on everything from training plans to why you’re feeling tired.

What else you can do in the WHOOP app:

• Dig into the details: See a breakdown of your activities by heart rate zone, and even see trends across Sleep, Strain, and Recovery up to 6 months at a time to adjust your behaviors, training, plans and more
• Join a team: Stay motivated and accountable by joining a team. Chat directly with your teammates in the app, or as a coach, see how your team's training is going
• Health Connect: WHOOP integrates with Health Connect to sync activities, health data, and more for a comprehensive view of your overall health.
• Get help: Membership Services is available to answer your questions directly from the app

The app's behavior needs to be changed when the bracelet fails to capture a night of data properly! Too often, Whoop misses data collection in the middle of the night. You can manually input the data yourself to avoid having a false "Sleepless night," but the app doesn't consider the data you input, and it disrupts months of data. It's really discouraging... I've never had a full month of quality data, which makes me feel that the subscription is absolutely not worth it...

Recently got a whoop4.0. The tracking work well, but charging the strap with the wireless battery is just awful. The strap works for about 3 days when fully charged, and it takes between 5 hours to a day to recharge it. Why ? Because the battery only charges the strap when there is movement. So forget about charging while you work at a desk, while you sleep, or while watching a movie, nothing will happen because the battery will go in hibernation mode or whatever it's called.

While the app is excellent to track the strength of your training, your recovery, and your sleep I niticed 2.major different from the IOS plarform: Unstable connection and missing the visualisation of you night stage during your sleep. This last one is critical to understand and improve your recovery. Not able to see how my SWS nor my REM location change depending on my sleep information doesn't allow me to see the effect of changes. Whoop remain an amazing tool but this is about the app.

Hey everything perfect but, there is one problem. Once a week my whoop strap fail to connect with the app, and the only way to solve that problem is to uninstall and install the app about once a week. It solve the problem right away. Weird. Other than that everything is perfect but please do something for that connection problem. Thanks

This is constantly crashing and not connecting to my strap. There has to be an alternative to the mobile app. I have reset my phone and strap multiple times and it keeps coming up with something's wrong try again later. It isn't capturing sleep data and the beta steps are as inaccurate as it can possibly be. This is becoming useless. I more than likely will not keep paying after my free trial year sub ends. Of course this review has been up for over 3 months, and I have had zero response devs.

Purely a review of the app, not the service (which I like). The app is terrible. Often unresponsive. Prone to crashing, especially when ending a workout or run. It also has the most insanely sensitive use of the accelerometer, so you have to hold it perfectly flat, as a single degree of tilt seems to pop it into landscape mode. It only seems to go back up portrait if I specifically use the navigation. Really bad and a detriment to the data it offers.

I enjoy the whoop app however it can be somewhat confusing and it's easy to get into information overload. What would make the whoop app even better is a option to see a more simplified "everymans" view so to speak. Steps, strain, sleep, overall health kinda thing. There is a lot of data available and that in and of itself can take away from the product imo

As a fitness professional I have tried various fitness trackers. I can say without a doubt that Whoop is offering the absolute best quality & highest accuracy data out there, with a wonderfully designed tracker, lightweight, slim, doesn't get in the way of workouts. Heart rate data is superb including heart rate max. Whoop provides unique insights into your training, strain, recovery and sleep. The app works very intuitive, beautifully designed and provides a lot of details. AI coach brilliant!
