In version 3 more than 80% of this app is rewritten in native code to present a modern, smooth user interface familiar to anybody who use Android phones, including:

- Drawer style navigation to switch tag managers, go to account options, login/logout/new account, or add new tags.
- Swipe left/right to change between trend, event, and the familiar full featured web interface screens
- After in event screen the motion events are loaded, they will be overlaid on trend screen similar to iOS version of this app, to allow identifying reason behind temperature/humidity changes (such as door open/close).
- Quick navigation from trend screen by tapping on a tag to open its option buttons in web interface, or by tapping on the trend graph to open full graph for viewing, CSV data download or sharing.
- Unified search bar with search scope tabs similar to iOS version of this app, to quickly focus on tags of certain name/comment or in certain state (e.g. hot hoot), as well as events of certain category (e.g. motion, temperature, RH, etc) from tags with certain name. This works for web, trend and event section similarly.
- New 64-bit OpenGLES graphics code for charting, including new features such as log scale for lux chart, and faster loading using less network data through compression, and fluid scrolling similar to iOS version of this app.

- When app is launched and previously web interface is not selected, launch will be much quicker than the old app as only native portion of the app will be loaded. For viewing event and temperature data, there will be no need to load the non-native HTML part of the app.

Similar to the old version, by installing the app on your Android device, you will be able to receive push notification message on your Android phones and tablets.

What's New

Fixed compatibility issue with Android 14 (API level 34) that causes newly installed app to not being able to ask for push notification permission.
Before this update, notification categories like "Too hot/cold", "Motion/door events" are created the first time a push message arrives, with user specified sound. But Android 14 expects apps to create category ahead of time before being able to request push notification permission. Therefore a default sound is now assigned to each category.

App not ready for prime time. If app is open/running, it will voice that the door is open/closed, but if the app isn't running, then no voice. Navigation is tough - I can never find where to re-configure the tag as a motion or door sensor (ah, just found it). The button to log out of the app is on the "trends" page, but nowhere else - strange that it is on the trends page but not the main page. Generally the app is rough around the edges and needs some work. I hear (but cannot confirm) that the app on the iPhone is organized differently and makes more sense. The tags and tag manager work fairly well. The distance between the tag manager and the tags isn't close to what is claimed (at least in my experience). The distance between my tag manager and the one tag is about 70 feet line of sight and the signal strength runs 2 to 3 bars.

Update 4/5/19: Revised up to 2 stars. The sensors themseves are fantastic and the app has shown improvement. The app now has a temp/humidity only page however the widget still randomly stops working. Origional review: The sensors and gateway work well however the app could use a makeover. Key info is not immediately visible. Each sensor has to be expanded to view details. That becomes real time consuming with multiple sensors (look at the sensorpush app on how to be easier to read and intuitive)

have been using these tags for two years now. Great solution to monitor temperature, light, motion and humidity, even remotely. My only two concerns are the signal range through stone walls, which is limited, and the battery life. I really like the easy graphs and the excellent data export capabilities.

Main screen very temperamental since update. Other two screens work fine but I don't need them. The main usual screen just doesn't display at all unless I kill and restart And even then it takes ages to load. In fact it seems to load twice in quick succession. Ok just got new S20+ and having exact same problem. Blank main screen which I can only fix by killing and reopening. Seems to be working on new version

I just installed the new version and already having problems with the interface on Android (9). It seems to want to show only the trends screen and I have trouble getting back to the main screen. The developer got back to me with a new update to enable swiping right and left to see the different screens. Thank you!

Very poor quality of the products. A lot of bugs and system crashes. Weak support: On my opinon not enough effort in trying to solve problems. They simply stop answering, when they don't have a solution. Edit: Thanks for your answer. Short clarification: Ticket was closed, because I decided to stop using your products, not because it was resolved. You were unable to solve the problem. I'm not happy how you support your users. You could have done a lot more to help (e.g. exchange faulty product)

*****review updated**** This issue has been corrected. I use these tags everyday to monitor a remote location for temperature, motion and humidity. The fact that they integrate so well with IFTTT is a great plus and I use that functionality often to have the tags trigger my other smart devices. I would give them 5 stars except that we go through batteries very quickly. I I don't understand why the water sensor has a battery that cannot be changed ( I did manage to pry out the dead battery without breaking the sensor and replacing it a number of times). If I had not been able to do that successfully I would have had to buy new water sensors at least five times over the past two years. Lastly I have just upgraded my phone to a Moto G7 Google Fi Phone running Android 9 and the widget does not show up in the list of available widgets .

I just installed the app after purchasing several different sensors from the company in the US and getting stung for import fees. Now I find the app won't work properly. I cannot open page 3 from within the app. I tried the remedy suggested to DaveS and selected the temp but I still got a blank page. I tried using + associate, again a blank page. I logged out then back in, the same result. The only way I can access this page, which is important for doing settings for the sensors is to access app info and force stop. The company has a forum and I posted this on there and got the suggestion it was my phone that was too old and didn't have enough memory for all my apps. The phone has 128GB with 64GB spare plus an SD card. It was bought ten days short of a year ago and was a 2019 model with Android 9. I love the sensors but have to admit to being peeved with the suggestion it is my fault for having an old phone. Over to you developers. I will edit this review to reflect how this issue develops and whether or not it gets resolved. Update- A fast response from the company with an explanation and fix. That speaks volumes not only for them but the equipment and service they sell. I was already a fan of their kit but was slightly put off by the problem and initial response I got on the forum but this response was the bees knees. I have used the updated version for a couple of days now and it has performed solid. No glitches or anything. One question I wouldn't mind the answer to, what was meant by memory pressure? I tried it after using AVG to shut down all background apps and it still didn't open. Just my curiosity at play there. Thanks to you all.
