The rates are ridiculous, the selection is limited, and you get charged nearly double after the mandatory insurance. Customer service takes weeks to get back to you if they ever do. They charge you even though you've returned the vehicle. The state of the vehicle was not even passable as the required inspection form provided doesn't work. Tpms was not functioning on 3 of the 4 tires. The headlights were dim, and one went out after only a few days. The headlight lenses were seriously fogged.

Worst experience i have encountered in 2024. Tried to rent a vehicle for rideshare ( while my vehicle was being repaired). I requested a vehicle that has 24 hours to be approved, then to find out the vehicle wasn't available and hour before my time was up. Kinda shady. I mean why show a vehicle on the app that isn't available? Maybe I'm too old for this but I won't be trying to find a rental here anymore. So I guess thank you for showing your true colors so quickly

Most of the vehicles listed are priced Waaay above anything that's reasonable for the purpose of making any money via the gig economy. What's not priced stupidly high (but still not cheap) have owners who don't tend to respond or accept rental requests. Not being able to rent or rent something that makes sense monetarily speaking defeats the whole purpose of the app and thus it's been completely useless to me.

Not a good car rental service! if I could give 0 stars I would! Gig Companies don't recognize the insurance. They middle man for middle men companies mostly that have horrible vehicles that aren't maintained properly. They break down and people smoke in them. Do not use HyreCar by all means! The App barely works. You have to constantly get support for very simple things you can easily do on other apps! Never again will I use them. Waist of time and money and really a pointless service!

The prices on this app are insanely misleading. Some cars can be listed as low as $40/day, which is great, if it was true! The issue is that their insurance prices are ridiculously high. You can expect to pay about $35/day for insurance alone, which essentially means you will be paying over $75/day for their cheapest vehicles, and that's not even including taxes and other fees. The vehicles on this platform are not in the best condition either. Stay away from this app unless you're in a pinch.

Pointless, even in big cities, there are never any cars available. At least, that was my experience. The selections are older cars, and when you go to book one, none of them are ever available. Useless app. The concept of this company is pretty awesome, which is why I gave them a 2 star. Do not download this app and waste space on your phone.

If I had another option other than this platform I would go there. Horrible experience with this company. Rental car broke down 45-minutes after pick up. Hyre car customer service was useless. I waited with the vehicle for almost 3 hours until I had to leave the vehicle where it was. Apparently, car low on coolant, but who rents cars without basic fluid checks. I couldn't rate them on the app, but I can here avoid Roy K. on the app. I hope someone improves this ideal for better options.

First time renting, and the car I picked had a registration that was about to expire. I contacted seller with no response. As an app, if the car had issues why was it listed? I shouldn't be able to pick that as an option. 2. There is no rating system. The seller was bad at communicating. 3. Once I got my refund, the app kicked me off, credit card info was lost. And now I can't log in Update: app won't connect to gig account. And coupon to redeem doesn't work on app. Very disappointing
