Love the game! But it wants $$$ for you to succeed fast! As updates come in, it gets better, but this last update has everyone confused! Also, they need to make the energy different with this new trials part. You can't play the game & do that too, or an event! Should either use less energy or have more opportunities to get energy without having to buy it! I'm still addicted to the game, though!

I like puzzle with increasing might style games. I also like the new content that was added! It looks as if I lost quite a bit of my might in all my heroes after the last update. (A little bit in each hero of lost might). I was at 148k, then down to 122k total on the same set of heroes. I don't know if maybe this was part of the update or not. But, I can definitely tell a difference with difficulty level.

I love this game but the energy (especially alliance fights) takes way too long to load more! I keep getting the same gear, doesn't matter which chapter or level.... Can't get further for upgrades. Food takes too long to get. I think iron should be used to upgrade gear instead because it's rarely used and it would help with upgrading.

I stuck with GoTL for a month and have a few observations. First, this is a VERY pay-to-win game. You can make some slow, steady progress for free, but you will never be competitive. Second, the P2W is overwhelming. I have no less than 16 offers between 10 and 150 dollars right now. The gameplay is Bejeweled with all its mediocrity. The team-building is actually solid, though. There are a number of compositions that work well, and there's a lot of interesting nuance to it.

EDIT: I'm removing a star (4 to 3) because the game is missing BASIC quality of life features. (1) No colorblind mode. Gems are marked by a shape, but not the enemies on screen; green/yellow/red and blue/purple aren't visually distinct enough. (2) No ability to save more than one attack and one defense team for PvP. No ability to save more than one attack team for story missions. (3) One daily summon. Shard collection is so stingy that one summon every 6 hours should be the standard.

Decent game, I've been playing since it came out. Free with no ads and addictive. There are some cons that I'm a bit surprised about. G.O.T has a plethora of characters to choose from, but in game are alot of generic nobody's. Same old events all the time. Can't set up different teams to save. Like all purple to fight a yellow dragon. Campaign is blaah,Improving your "town" is very limited. No ranking for alliance. Needs improvement. Thank you

Ok for the puzzle part. Then it gets boring and repetitive. Edit after a week. Progression is extremely slow, you have to spam the lower level sections of the campaign just to get silver, this makes leveling heroes extremely slow. The only reason I have a legendary hero is because I paid $5 for it. Summoning a legendary is non existent. In summary...pay $$$$$$ just to play, nevermind winning lmao.

Staggered updates to random users on a Pay-to-Win. Features are passed in an erratic manner. In a game that has a 'competitive' aspect to it, this puts some at an advantage and others at a disadvantage. Specifically the new 'trials' feature is accessible to some, but not others. This criticism is outside of the obvious pay-to-win 'gatcha' style game. This plays like 'Puzzles and ...' with only the shallow match 3, yet has the same cost for in app purchases.
