With AirGuard, you get the anti-stalking protection you deserve!
The app scans your surroundings in the background to detect trackers like AirTags, Samsung SmartTags, or Google Find My Device trackers. If a tracker is following you, you will receive an instant notification.

These trackers are often no larger than a coin and are unfortunately misused to secretly track people. Since each tracker works differently, you would typically need multiple apps to detect unwanted tracking.
AirGuard combines the detection of various trackers into a single app – keeping you protected with ease.

Once a tracker is detected, you can make it play a sound (for supported models) or perform a manual scan to locate it. If you find a tracker, we recommend disabling it to prevent further tracking of your location.

The app stores location data exclusively on your device, allowing you to review where a tracker has followed you. Your personal data is never shared.

If no trackers are found, the app runs silently in the background and won’t bother you.

How does the app work?
AirGuard uses Bluetooth to detect AirTags, Samsung SmartTags, and other trackers. All data is processed and stored locally on your device.
If a tracker is detected in at least three different locations, you will receive a warning. You can adjust the security level in the settings to receive even faster alerts.

I have a smart tag attached to my keychain and the app regularly says it is "following me". Marking the smart tag as false alarm does not work because the same smart tag keeps getting detected as a different device every time. Edit: the battery of the smarttag is sufficient, and I don't always get a notification for it, it happens randomly a few times a week, sometimes I don't get any notification for several weeks.

It's a good app but it would need a persistent notification so it doesn't get kill by the os. Unfortunately, Samsung One UI, kills any apps that run in the background and that are not open every 3 days even if they're not battery optimized (unrestricted) even if you put them to never sleep. Only apps with a persistent notif. or apps with special access like notification listener, usage access or accessibility access can stay in the background indefinitely

Suspected my bike had an air tag in it, installed the app and it found it instantly. It could make the tag play a sound, practically had a hot and cold meter by moving the phone! Very useful!

Reviewing here, because FDroid doesn't have that ability. A feature that I think would be very beneficial is being able to click on the locations on the map and get a timestamp for when that device was seen there. Or even a list of the beacons by date that I can click and jump me to that location. Also the "what to do after" instructions are worded weird. Perhaps reword to "Get to a safe place AFTER the device is deactivated, so you aren't tracked going there."

The app is insightful & useful. But I have to uninstall app until developers make changes. It needs option to turn off scanning when desired. Add a button for "on/off" or an option to "diasable automatic scanning". It was of interest seeing an apple device follow me & child to several stores & within a store. I am skilled at pattern recognition & was uncomfortable with all that I learned from the scanning data. I wont mention it so not to teach the wrong people how the app should not be used.

So far it's detected a airtag on my vehicle, which I am taking to someone to search for. I wish it wouldn't pick up apple tablets, phones and such. But I would really like if we could get more explaination on what the tracker means, how long it's been tracking like to which locations, and gave me better details on the map. Also when I was hitting the button to make the airtag make a sound it wasn't working. Please keep working on this app to improve, we need this safe technology.

It failed to detect an AirTag-- I was near it for about 10 minutes before being told it was there, so timing may have been an issue. I had the app make the tag beep and it beeped. The scan and notifications settings were correct and we were both on the same wifi. I have not delved into how long it may take for tags & the app to communicate but I can see it taking a few minutes, 10 or so being a possibility. I will update when I find out more.

I agree with everyone else. You need to be able to start and stop the scanning. If not, you can't click on anything the app found so pretty useless. I just bought 4 Airtags and the app can't find any of them. Not sure it was supposed to but I was hoping it would. Another thing, is it possible to add satellite view on the maps?
