While the app has it uses, many issues make it unreliable. Screens fail to update on changing focus or after being brought out of background. Settings pages give only meagre clarity on how to use. Why not add links to explanations? Other settings are clunky, such as setting charge/discharge time slots. Oh, and it would have benefited from a lot more testing.

The latest update has wrecked the UI and day to day experience. It is slow, clunky, and access to additional battery information has been withdrawn which is an awful move. Many have complained about not having the facility to monitor such things. These "improvements" need to be listed in full, and non automatic updates to be the norm. I want to revert to the previous version and request info on how to roll back.

The previous version of this app, although occasionally struggling to connect to the system, worked rather well and gave a real-time solar generation and usage feed. The recent update of this app, has in my personal view, not been thought through at all and is as useful as a chocolate oven. I hope that the same bright spark who authorised this app update, see's this review and will at least revert it to its previous version, which had some use.

As someone else has said, the latest update has ruined this app. The battery doesn't discharge. Using 3Kw of electricity from the grid 29w going into treatment and house. The battery remains at 100% nearly all day. In Autumn this should happen. I gave the system in two houses 200miles apart and both now have the same issues.

Latest update has neutered the app - lots of useful information removed that was easy to see and indicated the battery (ies) health statistics. A cynical might say GivEnergy don't want customers to too easily see when there is a problem and a possible warranty claim ? Happy to amend this review - GivEnergy listened to lots of negative feedback and quickly put out another update (3.4.3), and functions that were removed have been returned. 👍

latest version is poor. Has removed really nice battery information. Now no idea if both batteries are working properly and cannot see temperatures either. Really backwards decision to remove such functionality.

Buggy as hell. Since router crashed and had to be restarted, the app can no longer locate the system locally. The system reconnected to the WiFi router without issue. I can see the system in my WiFi network. The useless app, however, cannot detect it. Contacted support and after one hour of trying what support advised, the issue remained unresolved. Support had no more advice to give and all they could say was "it'll eventually reconnect". Well what is eventually, cos it hasn't reconnected yet!

Poor, multiple and regular issues connecting to the inverter. More recently issues were the timed charge has not worked. Not good enough.
