Essential if your have the misfortune to have a flickering screen, as seems the case with most modern phones and tablets. Why oh why can't Samsung and Apple get this right when this app developer almost can. Insay almost ... I get a bit annoyed that it always wants to make the screen dimmer than I set it to. Kinda always creeping lower on the adjustment scale.

It is helpdul as long as the orientation in the app remains unchanged. If orientarion changes,screen becomes 100 percent bright for a short while blinding you completely if using rhe pgone during night. Using pixel 4a on Android 13 os. please help fixing the orientation bug. Thanks.

Great app to prevent PWM flickering, it works on lockscreen, status bar, basically everywhere. It even keeps stock "sunlight mode" untouched (just a little delayed). Unfortunately, the automatic control is very often unreliable - the screen randomly stays dim even outdoors (Xiaomi + Oppo phones). Also, I wish it had possibility to control with Tasker (disable/enable service, adjust brigthness etc.) and to define even brighter brighthness curve.

This app is similar (albeit more advanced) to a very old app called "Pixel Filter", both capable of something kind of dithering to dim the screen, not a stupid transparent black overlay, but literall turning off of the pixels. Very satisfied especially since that old app no longer support newer android.
