All files access (have MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) permission:
With Android 11 a new permission was introduced that is required to access all files on the device.
For the app to work this permission is required.
Using more user friendly alteratives like the Media Store API unfortunately do not work, because the Media Store API only provides access to images and videos and not other file types.
The Storage access framework is not usable either because it has huge performance issues. Processing thousands of files can take up to hours, which only takes minutes using direce File API access.
❗Information regarding usage of android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE:
Processing all your files can take several minutes, even hours, depening on your device, amount of images or storage you are selecting.
To ensure all files are getting processed and the process is not getting interrupted, which could cause wrong results and media not showing in the gallery anymore, this permission is required to prevent the app getting killed by the system while your images are getting processed.
While the service is running a statusbar notification will be shown.

This almost feels too good to be true haha! thanks!!! Shockingly: IT Does exactly what it says, for free and with no ads!! and it can automatically figure out what the file type is for any janky download without an extension... ITS PERFECT!!!! you have no idea how painfully slow it is to do each and every single file rename indivually on Android haha thanks guys! i plan on upgrading soon!

Paid version. It kinda works. The workflows are not thought thru. Like you can't create a destination folder, only you can pick an existing one. Or - it doesn't support a date range, only from some date to now. That forces the user to switch apps or invent workarounds...

Thought it only supported pictures and videos. The developer responded to me and let me know that I could enable a setting that allows it to support other files in the options of the app. However I'm realizing that it is mostly for certain metadata rather than renaming the actual file names. I found another app to do specifically the file names, thank you! I will delete this review so it has no effect on the ratings in a day or 2, since I didnt need the app. Thx dev for responding to the review.

Highest marks! I found a little bug, and the developer fixed it right away. I was also helped in understanding how things work, and amazed at the great utility of this app. Not only was it exactly what I was looking for, but, even better! I'm using it with S23 Ultra, and Expert RAW, with Intervalometer app, to make timelapses. With Rename & Organize with EXIF, I can export my files to Resolve and make it work without the headache. Thanks!

Great app to automatically rename pictures after taking them or to batch rename photos. I currently use it to "replace" the PXL prefix at the beginning of all my pictures, but I would love an option to rename with exif data any filenames that contain "PXL". My phone also messes up the time (by 5 hrs) in the filename and replace doesn't help that. I don't want to just rename all files with exif data since I like to keep cropped and edited files in the same folder

Exactly what I was looking for, you've saved me so much time by not having to deal with multiple renaming and EXIF editing apps. (Edit Sept, 25, 2019) Had a small issue with photos taken in Kik, which doesn't write EXIF data, being improperly renamed with a 1970 date. The developer was extremely responsive and helpful, quickly offering test versions of the app to troubleshoot and correct the issue. Absolutely amazing support!

An extreme amount of great features all packed into one good-looking app! The premium is cheap and unlocks droves of great managing tools, very much worth it! On top of the app being top-tier, the dev is seriously amazing. I have never ever gotten this kind of support and response time with any other android developer. They are more than willing to work with you on any issues you may have, or billing issues. Truly great in all aspects!

This seems like a horrible mess to me. I can't even find a menu. Every time I exit and enter the app again, the number of pictures increases greatly for no apparent reason. It's called "Photo Organizer - Organize Photos Easily" in one place and "Photo Insight" in another" which is annoying to me. 17.85 MB for the app 8.05 MB for data and 9.64 MB for cache. I couldn't get it off my phone fast enough. I'm still using Android 9 which could be the problem (?)
