This app is full of hate and racism and it is allowed freely in its chats on the different channels. It just makes watching anything on this app anything but an enjoyable experience. Another thing, if you buy a subscription membership to a channel, don't. When you try to cancel it, there is no way to cancel it. There is no end subscription button when you go to manage my subscription page. This app is a scam. If I could give 0 stars would.

I like what they are trying to do with the app but the app it self doesn't perform well. it is glitchy and unreliable. there are a lot of "quality of life" features missing, especially when compared to a polished app like YouTube. again, I am a huge fan of what they are trying to do, supporting the first amendment, it's just the app itself that isn't great

Great content, but the single most flaky app I ever installed on a smartphone. Frequent crashes when running in the BG. Bandwidth intensive during livestreams and often hours after, blamed on backend processing. Sucks for mobile use for that reason. It had 144 res initially; then poof! Gone! 4 years of "we're working on it," yet only cosmetic changes as far as I can tell. Again, content is stellar, but the app lacks the most simple controls, like FF or jump x#-seconds, besides its instability.

Forced upgrade broke the app. Every time I launch a video the app crashes, and logging in using Rumble simply doesn't work (404 error). I've already cleared app data and cache, and reinstalled the app. Fix it, and I'll update my review. Edit: The latest version (2.1.5) is the one causing the issue, 2.1.4 doesn't have the crashing issue. I went ahead an downgraded for now.

Loved the app! Free speech, great channels. Easy usability. Video play was always an issue. Had to fight it if I wasn't on wifi. I heard the update sucked so I held off, but they forced the update last night and I can see why people didn't like it. Can't find anything. One wrong swipe and you're in somewhere random. Extra tabs. It reset my settings, so I had to figure out the extra steps to reset them. If video play isn't any better, not sure if I'll keep it.

I just downloaded and subscribed to a Locals channel yesterday. The app is great. But when I'm watching a live show, I dismiss the live chat because it's typically toxic. The locals app keeps populating the live chat on my screen after I continually dismiss it. This app gets 2 stars from me for giving no space for users to provide feedback for the app and for being wonky with its live chat feature. I hope they fix that soon!

For the most part the android app seems to work ok. However, every update seems to break some feature and I'm not the one who thinks this. You'd think there's hundreds of developers who subscribe to someone on locals who'd sign up as devops beta testers and find these problems before the release push. The biggest missing feature is, what 2 or 3 years in, there's still no user to user messaging.

This app doesn't get any better with any update. No matter what show you're trying to find, it's never where it belongs. Nothing is in order. Not on the phone or TV. When you try to find live shows, they're always in some random place, never on the actual channel you're looking for. There's no actual way to pick the channels you want to always be where you want them. As if nobody actually uses the app at Rumble/Locals.
