This app was previously fantastic but has been slowly increasing the frequency that it pops it's full page subscription notice in your face. At this point, it's almost every time I open the app, even if I'm listening to something currently. Even worse they have now started including full page pop up ads randomly as well as bamner ads with a close button that doesn't actually close the add, but rather opens a page for you to pay them a subscription. Do yourself a favor and find a different app.

Update 2024: I still like the interface of this player, but when I'm using the app (even with the screen off) it will occasionally open a shady looking games webpage (zc-jk. com) that appears to be mostly unrelated to the ads in the player. Between this and the incessant popups when opening the app, I'm starting to look for a new player I love this player. It has most of the podcasts I want, can download podcasts instead of only streaming, has light, dark, and black color themes.

The forced ads are forcing me to leave after a decade. They pop ads anytime you reopen the app even if you're listening to a podcast and the screen turned off for a few minutes. Declining does not save this decision and so they repop and repop and repop. I will be moving to a different podcast app even though I use this one for over a decade and paid for it many times because I believed in this product for so long. Very disappointed in the direction of this organization.

Used to be the best podcast app. It was free, no ads, simple, lightweight. It's none of those things anymore. Every update makes it worse. Constant spamming to make a purchase every single time app is opened. Automatically opened some VERY suspicious looking ads in my browser window when I wasn't even touching my phone. That one was absolutely the last straw for me. Done with this app for good. Should have dropped it long ago

I used to adore this app. It was so easy to use, well designed, I didn't have to make an account to use it, and it had very few restrictions. Now, it's become more frustrating. It crashes all the time, every time I open the app it bagers me to subscribe, and resently it's been opening popup ads using my browser app randomly. It's still a decent app with the frustrations (hence the stars), but it's not as good as it once was. I'll be looking for a new podcast app.

Update: there are now forced ads that play outside of the podcast audio stream. They continue to play even when the app is quit+closed, which has become an extreme detriment when I need other phone audio to come through 2nd Update: One of the ad banners on the app have fake "alerts" telling me some virus has been detected on my phone, with loud beeping noises that override and pause the podcast. The beeping plays louder than normal volume, incredibly painful and confusing.

I loved this at first because of the ultimate customizing to listening. Faster, slower (in minute amounts), skip silence, etc. But it's gone so downhill over the last couple years. Won't play down the list you chose, won't always play the episode you chose, stops randomly--in four minutes, it randomly stopped four times. And every time I open it now, even to press play after it's decided to stop, I have to exit an ad for them twice. Every time. Looking for a new app, this isn't worth it anymore.

Update 2023: App crashes so much it is unbelievable. Will be looking to switch to a new app. Original: Absolutely amazing, I have tried so many podcasts apps and this by far has provided the best experience. Interface is super clean, well designed, very functional, and most importantly able to organize all the podcasts Im subscribed to in a clean way. Highly recommend!!!
