NYDocSubmit enables residents of New York State to submit required documents for SNAP, HEAP, Temporary Assistance, and Medicaid – avoiding another trip to the local social services district (“district”) office.

This App is available to residents of Albany, Allegany, Broome, Cattaraugus, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Chemung, Chenango, Clinton, Columbia, Cortland, Delaware, Dutchess, Erie, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Genesee, Greene, Hamilton, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Livingston, Madison, Monroe, Montgomery, Niagara, Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Orleans, Oswego, Otsego, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland, Saratoga, Schoharie, Schuyler, Seneca, St. Lawrence, Steuben, Suffolk, Sullivan, Tioga, Tompkins, Ulster, Warren, Washington, Wayne, Westchester, Wyoming, and Yates Counties at this time. If your district is not listed, check back soon to see if it has been added.

This App is NOT monitored for emergencies. You must contact your district office directly if you need help to address an emergency. DO NOT use this App to submit an initial application for SNAP, HEAP, Temporary Assistance, or Medicaid; to submit a SNAP Interim Report, SNAP Change Report Form, or SNAP Periodic Report; or to submit a recertification application for SNAP, HEAP, or Temporary Assistance. However, you may use NYDocSubmit to submit a Medicaid recertification.

DO NOT submit sensitive information, such as HIV status or domestic violence information and/or addresses that must remain confidential to safeguard you or a household member. If you need to submit such information, or if the App is not available, provide the documents to your district in a manner OTHER THAN through this App, such as through the U.S. Postal Service, in person, kiosk (if available), or fax machine.

What's New

The NYDocSubmit App now allows you to upload documents from your mobile device or photos saved in the photo gallery. The app accepts documents with .jpg, .jpeg, .png, or .pdf file extensions. Additional enhancements were made to improve user experience, including improving image clarity when taking a picture of a document. In addition, performance improvements and bug fixes were applied.

I can't login and it has nothing to do with my username or password as they are both correct. The issues is that I get as far as entering them in the login page and before I even tap enter when I'm finished the screen automatically changes to an Error Message that says that I can't connect due to no internet connection. I am connected to either my 5GUC network or Wi-Fi so it has nothing to do with that.

I uploaded my docs as instructed and received mailed documentation saying that they weren't received so my case is being discontinued as of May due to me "not submitting my docs". I have been trying to log into to the app and it doesn't load the login page.

zero freezes. information re- inputs automatically for each photo, which is great... made simple, straightforward, and with no glitches. I uploaded a bunch of pics too. thanks for building something that works flawlessly and simply!!

This is an excellent app insofar as I can tell. I used it once today and once about 10 years ago. The only thing I wish it would do more than it does is to have OCR and brighten up and square off the document in proper PDF fashion like CamScanner does.

sometimes what you need is right where you would expect, and sometimes it's nonexistent. sometimes, it's quick and easy. Other times, you can search the entire website(s) for something very simple and never find it. the absolute worst online experience ever. I think it was designed to torture us.

Won't work on Google browser had to install Firefox in order to login. Very frustrating and apparently it has been a problem for quite some time

Took several attempts to login, then auto logged out several times through the process. Something that should have taken 2 minutes, took almost an hour.
