A couple hours in, first impressions, this game has real potential. The control interface needs a lot of work, on a mobile phone the buttons are difficult to hit when you want to hit them. Also paying for repairs on your ship should be optional so you don't get stuck outside of a planet unable to land, having to restart your game, an exile from terrestrial life. Also the square Galaxies thing kind of leaves something to be desired. But a really cool game with a great foundation to be built on.

I have to update my perspective on this game. When I first played it I had a few UI hiccups on the first screen or two. A few minor adjustments could have fixed this. It gives a bad first impression. Once you get into the game it's a different story. The gameplay is excellent. The developer should be paid at least a few times more than a thousand or so downloads is worth. This is especially so when this gives you a complete gaming experience while the rest of the market is filled with junk.

-Edited review- Kinda awkward to stop the ship where you want it as the engine button doesn't always respond. Just took tome to get used it. But, it is a fun game and combat is satisfying and fluid. Not a fan of the weapon naming system...it's overly complicated. And a few ui improvements are needed, like making it easier to collect loot. Good game overall.

For the price i was expecting a bit more polish. ui is very small on a phone, galaxy and number of systems is limited (as far as i can see on the map), systems are square areas which really break immersion (see space rpg 3 for systems done right), haven't hit the story yet, going and stopping is very difficult on a small screen, no way to autopilot through multiple systems... might revisit my rating after giving it another go.

Great game, only problem is that the buttons are a bit too small and are quite bunched together. When in combat, its too easy to accidentally press the 'stop' button when using the D-pad,because its in the middle of the D-pad.It would be great to have the option to put the 'stop' button and the speed boost button on the right hand side of the screen.I know the ship can keep moving even if you let go of the Dpad, but in combat you need to be constantly turning so you cant let go of the Dpad to boost.

Rating updated after full screen fix from the dev. Currently the issue I'm having is that it overtakes whatever other audio is playing (play music for example). Landscape orientation is fixed on one side so if you rotate it, 180 degrees, the game doesn't turn around with the phone. Not that, annoying but can be a small issue on certain use cases (power socket + charging port is on the left but game orientation REQUIRES it to be turned so the charging port is on the right.

This game is amazing, I have a screen with rounded edges, so a tiny bit of the minimap is cut off, but that really effects nothing, overall, that is the ONLY problem I have had with this game, nothing else, flight controls are easy to understand, and gameplay is flawless, a good time killer for sure! Are there plans for updates to this game? If not, any other games of it's type in the works? I would certainly pay for and play it!

I originally gave the game 4 stars. I would like to change that to a 5 star rating I made a suggestion that larger thrust and boost button would be handy in combat (since then have thought that a sliding thrust might work better that simply making the buttons bigger don't know if the dev has toyed with it but I think it would be smoother) the developer got back to me almost straight away in a friendly way which is a first for a play store game dev great work and a brilliant game all round
