The trains are unreliable right now so the last thing we need is for the app to have the wrong info. If I search for a journey 'departing after' I get completely different options than if I search "arriving by," even when in the same time range. So I can only see maybe half the journeys available depending on how I search. There are other faults depending on e.g. departure station (like Waverley vs. Haymarket when every train stops at Haymarket but it looks like only a small fraction do).

Really fit for purpose app, has great functionality and user friendly design, and it's very easy to buy/compare prices for tickets. It can be slow when loading the Live Times and Journey Details pages, but it doesn't normally impact on usability and is often due to bad signal/slow wifi.

Solid app. Worked well for purchasing tickets. Interface leaves a little to be desired and searching route options could be a little more straight forward and intuitive. That said, it's better than staffing in like at the station.

Great App! But I recently experienced an annoying bug after my login data expired. I had reset my password on desktop but stayed logged-in in the app. While most of the app continued to work as normal and showed me as logged-in, it failed without any error message when loading mtickets or trying to pay for a ticket (selecting the trip worked fine, but it failed after accepting the payment from Google pay). I would hope that you could add an error message to the app for this case.

I have no idea how this app got a rating above 4. It could only have been designed by someone who has never actually used a train in Scotland. The workflow for buying a ticket is so inefficient. No matter which destination you enter it forces you to select specific trains for outbound and return even though tickets are valid on all services on many routes. Then the process for viewing the ticket is hilariously involved with download, activate, view all as separate steps.

Pretty good but with one VERY annoying flaw. The app times out faster than you can say ScotRail. Every time I'm prepared and have the ticket open for scanning, as soon as I try to show it the flaming thing kicks back to the main screen and I have to faff about selecting options again while the conductor is waiting to scan it. Positives - easy to buy tickets, good explanation of ticket types and has up to date info which is great when there are so many cancellations.

I don't appreciate an app taking control of my screen brightness and adjusting it by itself, as well as hijacking the NFC whenever the app is foreground regardless of whether im using the app's NFC functions. Do you people not realise how insignificant a part of our lives your services are?? Stop hijacking our devices for your app, we have more important things to do with our devices!

It was a little trickier to set up on android than iphone but once it was set up it is easy to use. The savings with a senior railcard as well are great. It gives live updates and platform info which is very useful for tight connections.
