Does not work on flights to/from US to Portugal with TAP Portugal. Although TAP promotes this app, on ALL flights from/to US to Portugal and other countries, it does not work. It gives an error that due to technical issues. TAP API changed and seat boost has not made the necessary changes. Occurring since September 2024.

App itself works well enough although there isn't a ton of information given to you when you walk through it for the first time. The biggest issue (and one they disclose in the "Help" section) is that even if you win you might not actually get an upgrade. Considering it's happened to others, it seems like a waste of time to place bids and pay attention all just to be notified there wasn't enough availability and your time spent was meaningless.

App kept insisting my flight didn't exist, even though I quadruple checked the flight number. Waste of time. Edit- I have been told to use my phone to scan the boarding pass. Which is also on my phone. As this is increasingly common in place of printed passes, it seems like it'd be worthwhile to make the manual entry feature actually work. Skimming the reviews, it appears this is a long standing issue...

Great idea, but poor execution - at least for the customers. You can not choose the bid amount. The starting bid for me to upgrade from premium economy to business for a single segment was €900 per person! That's more than buying business class ticket to begin with. I suggest following to improve the app -allow to change bid amount - indicate steps. (I wasn't sure if I clicked "ready to bid", I will have another step to finalize or I was actually bidding. - allow to cancel the bid.

There was no inventory at the end of the auction, so we were all losers. So this begs the question, why was there even and auction. Ridiculous. It was my first time using it. Overall, it worked well until the end, and then in the last 4 minutes, it kept glitching, I would have to log back in each time and then hope the auction was still going, it also froze many times in the end. You need to make your platform more sturdy and reliable, and stable.

The app is not usable. It didn't accept manual entry of my booking code, even though the code I entered was correct. I had to print out my board pas so the app could scan it. The second obstacle, that I was never able to overcome, is the app never accepted my credit card data. Didn't matter if I scanned the card or manually entered the data. I tried 4 different cards. It's not that cards were declined, the button to advance stayed disabled.

Absolute garbage of an app. I learned about it from their agent who approached us while in line to a TAP Portugal flight. He asked if whether we would like to upgrade to Premium Economy for a pretty low price. We naturally said yes, only to find out it's a bidding process. We won the auction, only to get the notification "sorry, there are no seats available for your upgrade". Why even offer it for a bid if it's not available? Don't waste your time.

Do not trust or use!!! TAP (the only airlines on the app) does not let you know the flight is fully booked when you bid... as result, even if you are the only one bidding for upgrade, you have to wait till the end of the bid time to know the flight was actually booked and that you did not stand any chance to win an upgrade!!! Pass this app... :-(
