I wish that it was not dependent on Google Play services. Since I started using a deGoogled Android phone, Happy Cow is (surprisingly) one of my few apps that no longer functions. It's disappointing that an app like Happy Cow is so integrated with Google and their data harvesting. Having paid for the app 10 years ago (before it became free,) I'm now back to accessing the site through my web browser.

This app is a life saver if you are a Vegan or a vegitarian when you travelled to other countries other than India. I really appreciate the idea behind creating this app. Please keep up the good work. I can say this app is one of the main reason for my successful Brendan l Vietnam Trip without any hesitation. As an improvement I would say, search can by improved. Searching all the eateries around a specific area. I know this feature already exist but auto suggest won't pick the area specific.

I felt I had to download this app again, I hadn't used it in years, never liked it & many places don't use it much. But where I am now, there is more info on happy cow than Google maps. The rating system distorts the reviews so much, also forces me to allocate stars like I don't want to (vegan places get more than those/th "only" vegan options). That is misleading & led me to make bad decisions. On the other hand, there are many places listed here that have no real vegan food at all.

Great in theory but ultimately useless; you can't remove restaurants that have been closed for 6+ months and saved filters often reset after closing the app. categories are extremely limited and need to be expanded ("pizza" is not even listed and pizza is not Italian). If you want to add hours for a business you must do each day individually. there also needs to be a feature to spotlight places vegans should avoid. also the button to add a new business is not intuitive.

OK for eating out but very little use for day to day shopping in unfamiliar areas. Almost entirely eateries. No supermarkets listed, even though most of those have vegan sections now. No use as a travel guide for basic living away from home, unless you're very rich and eat out 7 days a week.

needs more feature options. was great when I was vegan but as a Meatgan I need organic and natural diet options please. I didn't see organic as an option and you should stop all the corp businesses that say they have vegan when they don't

This app has been so helpful for international travel. Frequently the sole vegetarian, it eased some of the pressure on a group trip with omnivores!

Very useful app when travelling in less than vegan friendly areas and regularly shows things that don't pop up on Google maps saving you from walking miles before giving up and looking for a falafel stand. To improve I would recommend that the ability to search for mixed vegan/non vegan places is improved upon since while I prioritise vegan places, google maps isn't very good at finding options when you're with omnis and this seems like something happy cow could help with.
