The Quest is a beautifully hand-drawn open world role playing game with old school grid-based movement and turn based combat.

In the kingdom of Monares trouble is brewing. The governor of Freymore is missing and the island is in tumult. The mages all prophesy a dark shadow looming over the safety of the kingdom. As an Agent of the king, it's your job to find out what is happening and avert any danger.

Choose from five customizable races and an array of skills, weapons, armor and enchantments, and explore a huge world of four cities and a wilderness of mountains, caves, lakes and forests – full of mystery, magic and intriguing challenges. Meet the many inhabitants, each with its own agenda and attitude towards your character. Some will be helpful, some greedy or lascivious or just plain mean. You will have many choices, including some that may place you against the law, along your way to the dramatic ending of your own choosing.

Key Features:

- Pursue a long and dramatic main story and solve many optional side quests.
- Create a highly customizable character and cast dazzling spells, enchant powerful items, concoct potent potions and persuade people to further your goals.
- Discover an open world with interesting locales, day/night cycle, weather, fascinating people, dangerous creatures, readable books, pick-able locks, repairable items, houses that can be broken into, dungeons, traps and much more.
- Play an absorbing card game with three different decks, accessible at the inns.

What's New

- On newer Android versions Cloud Saving now works when the game is not in the foreground.

No longer works on my new phone (Pixel 7). Played it a good deal on my old phone though, and while it has a lot of unfair parts and a lot of grinding necessary to advance, so did the Might and Magic series, which this really reminds me of. Especially MM3. Lots of fun if you're looking for a brutal old school RPG and don't own a Pixel 7.

10/27/22 Like others have said, this is actually quite a rare gem; the music is good, the story is well written, and the character builds can be customized to numerous different play styles. Totally worth playing. 11/9/22 Just finished my first playthrough (good aligned choices) and I have to admit, this is a pretty darn good game! I'm looking forward to my next undead evil-aligned playthrough for that sweet dark knight gear!

In my neverending "quest" for the perfect mobile RPG, I discovered this beautiful game. It's a sweet retro experience and I've really enjoyed it thus far. *I'm only 6 game days in. User friendly, turn-based (which I generally don't care for, but is seriously fun for me in this environment), cool mini-card game that reminds me of MTG. Fair price! Great soundtrack and story is exciting. I've got nothing bad to say about it!

The closest you can get to playing the og TES/os dungeon crawling. Bought this and the enhanced version (gold I think) for ios and loved it and still do. I had an issue at one point when dling it on the MSDS where I can't even tap anything on the main menu (main menu music still plays) and had to factory reset despite redling this game several times to no avail. It works again and have no issue so far! Will buy the dlc for both on iOS and Android.

Where to even start, this game is a modern day homage to old school games like daggerfall. To be completely honest the only thing wrong with this game is that it's really the only one like it on the app store. Questlord is similar but much less in depth. The quest will probably go down as my favorite mobile game of all time. I've played it since I had an iPhone years and years ago when it wasn't "HD" like it is now. Please consider bringing back the quest classic.. I miss the old artstyle!

I remember playing the classic version on my iPod touch years ago, and I really liked the classic graphics and compressed music, so I was very hesitant on getting the remastered version....but THIS, ladies and gentleman, THIS is EXACTLY how you do remasters of your games. It still holds that essence of The Quest that I adored in 2012, and the graphics are lovingly painted just as they were back then. Redshift are awesome as they always are. Thank you guys, I genuinely hope for the best of you.

Great old school rpg. If you enjoyed the old crpgs from the mid 90s then this is right up your alley. Only difference is you control a single character instead of a party. There are great adventures to be had and it's interesting to see different dialogue choices depending on race, fame, and persuasion skill of your character. Lots of fun and good role playing

Personally, I don't like it. But its a user issue, not a game issuer. The style is great and dialogue is nice, controls are simple and effective. I just didn't care about getting past the opening quest when I had to wait til nightfall etc... Again, my personal preference, but the game really is cool and worth a try.
