Good app considering it's a donation-based development. Please add "cast" feature for videos played in Facebook plug-in. Buggy night mode feature for Facebook and Instagram. Sometimes they will follow system theme, sometime they do not. Overall it fulfills my requirement but user experience in terms of responses time when clicking on settings/options for example can still be improved.

Definitely quicker than the official app, but I've noticed that when it is opened from a thread inside Body for Reddit, this app seems to prevent Boost from returning to Reddit. Every time I try to go back the app is closed. Every time I try to open it again, Friendly is opened. The only way to solve this is to remove Boost from my recently used apps. Annoying.

Doesn't block anything on Facebook now. I used this app for a long time and I would get just my friends posts and nothing else. Now, it is EXACTLY like the Facebook app. My timeline is FLOODED with ads and irrelevant trash and I get very little from my actual friends. Facebook is complete trash now and unfortunately, this app no longer helps.

Friendly is just a app shell for Facebook now. Does nothing the friendly app originally promised. Facebook may have changed or started to charge for their API data (like Reddit). Either way the friendly app serves no purpose now. Does not bring any enhancements or allows any modifications anymore. On top of no longer functioning, the controls are extremely buggy. Pressing the back button on your phone, minimizes the app, instead of going to the previous page. Shame.

Facebook with night mode, no ads, and no tracking! When using this for anything other than FB, IG, or twitter it just opens up a web browser, no point in that. Also using it for Instagram fails to load any page after the first day. It only says "Sorry, this page isn't available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed. Go back to Instagram." No matter what you do.

I tried. I really wanted to like it. But I had to give it up. I like that it's an app that isn't Facebook, but using a browser ended up being a better experience. I couldn't handle the lack of notification options, the troubles with screen resizing (not being able to see all the content on a page), and the login troubles (clicking on my profile and being taken to my profile, but saying I'm not logged in). Only used Facebook, but it wasn't good enough for me, when simpler options work

I like this App. It saves space and memory. A new issue has popped up to n the last few weeks (Jan 2024). When I click on the magnifying glass to search for something in the app, I get a message that I must be logged in to use it. This is even though I am on my own Facebook page. EDIT. I've also found out that when I open Messenger to read my messages, I cannot scroll up to previous comments from the same person. The window is stuck on the last message that the person sent.

2024 and another review edit (#3)! Still can't get it right in this app. Another update, another set of issues. Buttons on the lower toolbar still don't function properly. And now, notification button may open someone else's feed or it may open up 3 old notifications with half of the screen blank. Can't watch videos that friends post. How do your updates go so wrong? What exactly are you "updating"? At this point it's just comic relief to keep this app and see how bad it can get.
