Adding hours and creating invoices make this app super useful when I'm not on my desktop. Beautifully designed. Time tracking is a little odd though - you need to start the timer, pause it, and then edit the few logged seconds to whatever time you wanted to log. It should be more intuitive to retroactively log hours, because I don't set an active timer while I work.

Love the Bonsai app! I just started freelancing and as my business got bigger, I needed a tool to do light project management as well as track time, send contracts and invoices, and keep track of business expenses. The app is a great mobile version of the web app, but missing some features we all seem to want. Adding task management and a calendar component for block scheduling would make this a 5 star app. Thanks, Bonsai!

the service is good, the app and even the web version on mobile have got a tone of bugs that really annoy me. Primarily having to enter my account and password every time I open the app each day, and then type in a code from my email. No other app on my phone is this janky upon login. It needs a fingerprint login. Also every day without fail it asks me to review the app in the app store, even though I've already reviewed it. I came back and removed a star off my review for that.

I'm disappointed in the lack of web features that aren't available on the app. For example, adding a new client or adding a task to a project. Both of these things are so incredibly valuable to have mobile for when your out networking so you can add their information to your CRM.

The app is good for the small things like generating an invoice, tracking expenses while traveling, or time tracking. However, it lacks the full functionality of the website so I rarely use it. It certainly has potential.

Quite a decent app for freelancers: invoices, analytics, income & expenses tracking, and much more 👍🏻 Currently, the service is mostly aimed at US citizens with some features curated specifically for them, but ppl from other countries will definitely enjoy Bonsai as well ☑️ It’s a bit on a pricey side, though. However, Bonsai might cover almost all needs regarding finances and analytics for some people 🔥 TL;DR: Bonsai is great for freelancers, especially the US ones.

Now that the Android version allows to view and create invoices in the app , 5 stars 🙂 My fav invoicing tool for more than a year now, desktop version also has proposals, contracts, plus time and expenses tracking and much more on both pc and desktop. Just great!
