Update 5/2025. Now we have to shut down the app, start it back up again in hopes of turning it off. Update 9/2023.... fewer features work now after the update. So disappointing. Great app when it works. The app updated 2 days after we got our fireplace and the now the app completely stopped working. I've been in touch with the manufacturer and no luck after 2 weeks still. If the developers could just put the previous version back in the Play store it would be super helpful.

the app has stopped turning on the flame. much of the time the app doesnt work at all. As of 2-4-2020 the app works intermittently. Most of the time not working at all, even after reinstallation. This is an expensive fireplace system that cannot be controlled with the app much of the time. Our remote works the flame but the color is intermittent on this also. Since the fireplace cannot be turned on manually, Napoleon should work diligently to fix the problem.

Just had the fireplace installed (which is awesome). I installed the app and messed with it for a couple of hours trying to get it to work. It finally worked for about 15 minutes and now it's back to a dead app. It recognizes my fireplace but the in-app controls do nothing. Very frustrating considering they highlight this as a feature. I am using a Samsung s9+

All features worked great initially (one week) but now it won't connect (doesn't even come up in the Select Fireplace). I cannot find the physical remote which is frustrating. The fire isn't on but the lights are which means I'll have to pull the panel to disconnect the power for now. How can a company making a fortune on fireplaces not fix their app. I can see that it hasn't worked well for a while.

Have been an eFire user for 5 years. The newest version is certainly the low point in my years of using the app. A lot of problems now that didn't exist in prior versions. My biggest compliant is having to keep the app open to get the timer to work. If you close it before the timer runs out the timer will run out but the fireplace stays lit, it doesn't shut off. I think this is a serious safety issue. I found one time when the timer ran out and the fireplace didn't shut off because I had

Update: After emailing executives at Napoleon the app finally got the attention it needed and works on Android 10. Thank you. Old: App no longer works with Android version 10 which means this app is dead unless they do an upgrade. Considering there has NEVER been an upgrade they are marketing a feature that soon won't be possible to use. Companies all over the world are pushing this out and I've spent over 9k on a fire place that doesn't have a supported app???

I would give this app a zero if possible. It is unsafe and ineffective at doing anything. The app can't find our fireplace on a regular basis, it freezes, won't open, won't connect. Literally the worst app on my phone. The fact that this is the alternative to a 700 dollar remote is discusting.

Barely does what a basic remote would do. Would have been nice to be able to program operation hour, under what program (on,smart), set a temperature to be reach and/or give the command to local remote, Use scene to program setting.I'm still surprised there no optional wifi passerel to remote control like smart lock use and or link to Google home or samsung smarthing
