■ Story
The story takes place at a privileged government-sponsored academy known as Hope's Peak, where highschoolers of the highest caliber in various fields receive an elite education.
The exceedingly ordinary protagonist, Makoto Naegi, is accepted into this academy which holds the "hope" of the nation's future..
He was chosen by lottery from all the other ordinary students to attend the academy as the "Ultimate Lucky Student"...
On the day of the entrance ceremony, Makoto loses consciousness in front of the entrance hall and comes to in what appears to be the interior of the academy, which has been completely closed off from the outside world. He suddenly loses consciousness and comes to in what appears to be the interior of the academy.
The dreary mood is far from the impression given by the name "Hope's Peak Academy." The dingy corridors, iron-barred windows, and prison-like atmosphere... Something is wrong.
In the entrance hall, a stuffed bear that claims to be the headmaster tells the students they will live in the confines of the school until the day they die, and they must kill someone if they want to leave.
Including Makoto, there are 15 Ultimate Students from all over the world trapped in this academy of despair.
One thing after another crushes their hope. Incidents which shake their trust, the sadistic headmaster, and the mystery of the mastermind. Who is behind it all, and what do they want?
The battle with an unseen enemy begins...

This is an amazing game and equally amazing port! However, it does have some minor bugs and issues here and there, for example, the voice lines sometimes glitch out, or the loading of a room looks weird. The thing that bothered me most, however, is the audio delay during the cutscenes. This might be due to my headphones, so I don't wanna necessarily blame Spike Chunsoft, but it is very obnoxious. Otherwise, I had a blast finally getting to play this game myself, instead of just watching others.

I'm loving the game, I've always wanted to play Danganrompa and I'm happy it's now available for mobile devices. However, I did find a bug which isn't very pleasing. Whenever I find a body, the scene that should play together with the dramatic song just freezes. After five seconds the game will come back, but I'll have missed the thrilling experience of finding the body.

Best port I've ever seen, and the most content-rich mobile game I've played. Controls work wonderfully, nothing's awkward, autosave works, swapping text or voice languages is easy. I knew nothing going in, but Danganronpa more than holds its own as an utsuge. Pacing, feeling, characters, allegory, are all done well. Music score and trial mechanics are great. You'll get 20-30 hours out of the main story. Completion unlocks a bonus mode. I get too distracted to play VNs on PC, this was 10/10

Thank you for the mobile release of the game! I'm looking forward to the next two installments! A word of advice for those who can't get past the Spike Chunsoft logo... I had that issue too. However, I noticed that the file size of the game on my phone was about 130MB instead of 3GB. I uninstalled the game, connected to a stronger wifi source, and redownloaded it. This time it downloaded the whole 3GB and the game worked. It may not work for everyone, but give it a try. Hope this helps!

Excellent game. I haven't had any of the major issues that others are describing. There are a few small issues - minor points against the port, not the game itself. The % symbol see to break the dialogue box - whenever it would appear, it simply shows the number and nothing after it. It also seems to become less responsive over long sessions - restarting the app is enough to solve this. In addition, tapping too quickly to examine something can re-examine it once the first is done.

It's a great game! I was really happy when I saw I could get it on my phone! The game play and art style is great! However I had a problem that some parts of the scenery I couldn't see. They were only things I could interact with for example the trash can, monitors, and cameras. Also, Sometimes the props of the scene didn't fully come. For example a table would be sitting on an angle or the clothes hanging were seen in the black area off the actual scene

For anyone unfamiliar with the series, I can't recommend it enough. This is the first game and should take about 20-30 hours to clear. Also has a really fun postgame mode. Haven't had any issues with the controls, though I haven't gotten to the class trials yet. I like the inclusion of English, Japanese, and Chinese text as well as the English and Japanese voices. Autosave is also a neat new feature (though I still save out of habit). Also looking forward to the new gallery features.

My first Danganronpa game and I love it! The game is very stylistic and the characters feel fleshed out and real. However, the phone port does have issues. I've had a bug where sometimes the room doesn't fully load in extra assets. Resetting the game so far solves everything except one glitch where if there's a 100%, everything after "100" is deleted. If the message is spoken you can hear it but it's kind of weird. It doesn't happen too much though and I don't feel like I've lost value bc of it.
