Just read my review from 2017, and I realize I am having the same problem in 2021. I reinstalled this app a year or so ago but am STILL having trouble with the app freezing on my Samsung phone. I have the current update, still freezes. Its not my phone because I have absolutely no problem with any other app on my phone. Too bad, its well designed, just cant read anything without freezing.

Used to use this app often to read up on local news, but recently they've added video ads embedded into their articles that start playing on their own with full sound blasting. There's no way to mute the ads, and there is no way to pause the ads to stop the annoying sounds of the ads playing except to turn off the sound on my phone itself. So straight to uninstall this app goes. Good job on your app design there...

The newish sound videos and sound ads are totally unwanted. You can not turn them off. Instead, they blast out unexpectedly as you are scrolling for something else. Noise pollution, invasive, offensive, and completely unnecessary.

I guess they ran out of Trudeau's bailout money and can't afford to keep this app up to date. The app literally doesn't work anymore. It just say "Content Unavailable" with a Reload button. Pressing it brings up the same screen. Garbage.

Poorly designed app with badly organized categories. The same headlines appear multiple times in one category but only one will actually have content. Even then content is often minimal or has no visuals. Finally deleting the app after submitting feedback and hoping it would improve.

The app used to allow access to most if not all articles available in the app. Now one can barely see less than 10% of content. Print media is less profitable and most online news is free. I guess no more info from the Sun so I've deleted the app.

Recently this app gives a "Loading Stories" message when scrolling down. You must scroll down quite a ways before it actually loads them....then you have to scroll back up to view them. It is very annoying and slow!

Completely useless. Don't bother to download this app. With the news now locked off behind a paywall and only three free articles allowed, even for registered users, what's the point? If they think the paywall will force readers to pay $14.99 a month to read news on this app that they can get elsewhere at no cost, they are badly mistaken. Subjecting readers to ads, that is completely understandable and acceptable, but locking off the news... they deserve to lose their audience and fail.
