Functionality is good however the developers aim to annoy you into uninstalling instead of convincing you to buy the app, as other users have stated the app takes forever to start up on a flagship device (probably because it's loading a ton of ads) and there are full screen, full volume ads everywhere! Uninstalled after less than 5 minutes use! Yuck!

Who has ads popping up on a tv remote, come on guys that is ridiculous, I understand you need the ads for money as it's a free app but constantly popping up when your trying to use it is scandalous. Uninstalled 5 mins after download. Find another app people honestly unusable.

This app is frustrating. It works fine once it's open, but it takes a long time to start up. Once it does, there's a loud ad to click out of, then when you click any button you have to select the device. If you tab over to a different window and go back, it won't work. You have to exit out and reopen it from the beginning. Just buy a remote on Amazon for 30 bucks, ours will be here tomorrow. 😂

So many ads... every 5 button clicks spawns a new full screen takeover ad, which you are guaranteed to click on because you're trying to operate the TV, not really watching out for Ad traps... this app is practically unusable. Lucky i found the missing remote or I'd have bought a new (non LG) TV just to avoid using the app because of this... unbelievable.

I downloaded this app and opted to pay for the full version to circumvent the ads. It has not been able to connect to my TV. I've contacted support and their responses have been inconsistent at best and their few suggestions have been completely unsuccessful at remedying my problem. I requested a refund as the app has been utterly useless and they've since ceased all contact with me. Don't waste your time or money on this app. Update: still garage a year later.

EDIT: too confusing. Never did get it to work. And no App should ask for a review the moment its installed.......question anything that asks you for a 5 star review before you've even had a chance to try it out. Just means that most people wont come back to edit and you cant trust the reviews, in fact I'm dropping it all the way to 1 star just for that. AND it wants you to pay Original:Just asked me to leave a 5 star, kinda pushy lol but so far so good, I'll come back and change if not worthy 😉

I've used this app when I misplaced my remote 2 weeks ago and using just the free option gives limited access however it works well. So when I am able to I will subscribe but wish the price would come down a bit California is expensive with little money leftover for extra things so hopefully a promotion for a discount or something might help. Great app though!

Went back to this method which worked fine (pre the "LG ThinG" upgrade). Seems to work better for an older (> 5 years) 55 inch LG TV. Revised-changed from 5 to 4 stars due to the high rate of disruptions by continuous advertising. It seems different from the oriir use (2 ~ 2+ years) The recurring cost for "premium" option is high and seems silly. A one time purchase makes sense. A recurring fee for a remote simulator seems wrong.
