If you started with Samorost 3 like me, you might be disappointed because it's much shorter than that. It's still longer than Samorost 1 and has the same charm. The puzzles are not too hard and you probably won't need a tutorial once you're familiar with the gameplay. Sometimes puzzles solves themselves by tapping random ly on things but overall the puzzles are fun to solve and follow some logic. It's very enjoyable and relaxing. If you have Play Pass it's already included. Give it a try!

The animation and music is top notch and it tells a nice quick story. My main issue is the puzzles are just non-intuitive to a fault. Sometimes you are swiping, sometimes point and hold. Too many times I was banging my head against a wall to look up a solution I'd never have guessed. Play it but don't be afraid to use a walkthrough when needed.

I love Samorost, but the first one was definitely better. 2 has complications that make it harder to enjoy... Mobile version needs a zoom feature. Tiny objects are impossible to see or tap (a deflated balloon, really?). Also, mechanics are very unclear in terms of what you can tap, what you can tap and drag, and what you can carry. Everything is unique, unpredictable, and surrealistic--which is charming, but it also makes some puzzles impossible to figure out without a walkthrough.

Amazing the art is outstanding good graphics and puzzles. honestly i just love this game this will definitely be going up there with some of my favourite games in a few of them already are other Amanita design games like chuchel and machinarium. really the only problem I had was that in the screw mini game where if you have to shut down the power of the Apple machine the the screw on the bottom left would just never come off until I pointed the wrench at the bottom. Other than that really good

A classic. It's pretty short and I did need to consult a walkthrough a few times, but I'll forgive it for it's charm and amazing visual style. If you have Play Pass, get this! If not, play Samorost 1 first, it's free and gives you a good idea of what to expect from this one. Samorost 2 seems just a little bit longer than Samorost 1, but that's not saying much, they're both pretty short. Keep in mind, the appeal of this game is not in the puzzles or gameplay, it's in the artistry.

Wish i could give the samorost games better reviews. They seem super fun, the art and music is great. But they are directionless, there are no clues or any indications of what to do next. And im not saying they need to scream it out and ruin the puzzle but half the time youre just tapping through each stage, sometimes doing the same thing over and over until it works, typically never knowing what you did to do it "right".

Five stars overall. The graphics are exceptional, the music is delightful, but the puzzles can be a bit frustrating (if you get hopelessly stuck, a quick Google search will direct you to a walk through). Unfortunately I was spoiled by the extensive worlds of Samarost 3 so this one seemed WAY too short.

This is an update. I played Samarost 3 but can't leave a review...? I truly wish they'd make more of these games and Machinarium. Those are some of my favorite games. The others just aren't the same, especially for the $. And I don't mind paying for a good game! Really awesome game... Once I figured it out. I've attempted to play a few other times but uninstalled because there are no directions or hints. I only tried again because I played lumino city.
