The Ensign and A Dark Room are masterpieces. There is no other word to describe the games and the experience of playing them. They are the game that I recommend to literally everyone. 100% going to play it again and again because they're awesome.

A fun addition to A Dark Room built around the original adventure mechanic, only much more punishing and difficult. For the people who are invested in the story and lore of the game, this will serve as a nice treat. Overall, very much worth the small price to get this game.

I loved it. I loved the first one and then I loved this one even more. I will say there is no one to gather resources in this one, but besides that the gameplay was very similar, just expanded upon. I highly recommend it!

I can't believe this game is only 2 bucks. I'm trying to get other endings and while it's hard it's mostly because I keep jumping ahead. Prequel to a dark room (another good game I downloaded with game pass) I'm having loads of fun with it even though I'm being taunted every time I die lmao. Would not recommend if you don't like text adventures but is a joy if you do.

When once clicked during load/"screen refresh", game required forced restart. Game is on brutality mode, death means complete loss of progress, which I really hated. I didnt know this before purchase, too. Its purely adventure and no idle game components. In the predecessor nothing can really go wrong. Here, between death are little messages that critize you for dying. The devs made finishing the game challenging and "earned". For me this was a big contrast and disappointment.

I first played a dark room though play pass. I was a little hesitant to pay for this after seeing so few downloads but decided to and it was very much worth it. This prequel is longer and more difficult than the original and I really enjoyed it. Definitely with the $2.

The developer of this game has shocked me agian with a second amazing game in the universe of ADR. I always thought about the history of what happened before I lit my fire in ADR and now can experience that. thank you Amir.

I really liked a dark room, so naturally went for this onex Similar gameplay loops, but some of the end game taunting does break my immersion a bit
