Nebula is a scalable overlay networking tool with a focus on performance, simplicity and security. It lets you seamlessly connect computers anywhere in the world. It can be used to connect a small number of devices, but is also able to connect tens of thousands of devices.Nebula incorporates a number of existing concepts like encryption, security groups, certificates, and tunneling, and each of those individual pieces existed before Nebula in various forms. What makes Nebula different to existing offerings is that it brings all of these ideas together, resulting in a sum that is greater than its individual parts.
Nebula is a VPN application built with Android VpnService.

Nebula is truly fantastic, but not at all well publicised. Nebula is an overlay mesh network like Tailscale or Zerotier. The singular difference is that Nebula is fully open source. The application on all all workstation platforms is entirely free of commercial control. This app, not Nebula, does have niggles: you cannot edit any part of the generated config file, including the inbound firewall rules (this means no external logins on android); adding configs is a little clunky.

Awesome functionality, works well, and the devs are responsive to issues on the nebula slack group. Very very occasional hiccups, always resolved by disconnecting and reconnecting the connection.

Very nice, but doesn't work on mobile data, only on wifi. Not sure why. I would like to turn on punchy.respond, but sadly no way to edit the config file

No ability to set the DNS makes it sadly useless for me. If not for that and the maybe a bit convoluted process of adding the certificates it would be 5 stars.

Well, it would be awesome if we could just pass the files (*.crt, *.key, ...) and all other configuration just by passing the `config.yml` file. Hard to do it manually via GUI.

Getting the cert signed for the app was a little cumbersome, but this works well. Would be nice to be able to create widgets to toggle connections on and off.

Should allow me to import keys from a file as it does certs. Makes no sense to force me to generate keys on my phone, then export them to my laptop so I can sign them, then import it all back to my phone...

Doesn't work with two Honor devices. Shows VPN badge for a moment, then "Initializing..." forever. Works for Xiaomi tho, but why I can't import full config and even add firewall rules?
