With this app you can easily generate pure waves that will stimulate your concentration, meditation or relaxation.

Very Important
• Use headphones for a better sound experience

• Don't use this app while driving or operating heavy machinery.

• Take care of your hearing, is not necessary to hear these sounds at high volume.

You can generate and save your own frequencies using two independent oscillators, controlled by two horizontal bars, with fine adjust buttons or directly by input the desired value you want (tap the left or right frequency value to open the input dialog).
You can use values with two decimal points (eg 125.65).

The sounds are produced in real time, they are not pre-recorded sounds. This enables to play them without interruption as long you want.

How it works
Binaural beats, or binaural tones, are auditory processing artifacts, or apparent sounds, caused by specific physical stimuli.
This effect was discovered in 1839 by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove and earned greater public awareness in the late 20th century based on claims coming from the alternative medicine community that binaural beats could help induce relaxation, meditation, creativity and other desirable mental states.

The effect on the brainwaves depends on the difference in frequencies of each tone: for example, if 300 Hz was played in one ear and 310 in the other, then the binaural beat would have a frequency of 10 Hz.

To experience the binaural beats perception, it is best to listen to this file with headphones on moderate to weak volume – the sound should be easily heard, but not loud. Note that the sound appears to pulsate only when heard through both earphones.

Important

For best results please use headphones.
Take care of your hearing, is not necessary to hear these sounds at high volume.
The bottom slide bar controls the volume, but it is independent of your device's volume, so if there is no sound or it's too high, also set your device's volume to balance the sound.

Also Important
Latest Android versions, are evolving to manage system recourses and automatically slow down the cpu usage for optimize resources.
The real time audio synthesis, like we use in our apps is a very sensitive process when the OS is trying to stop or decrease cpu usage for this main thread.

If you have some issue playing the audio, please follow the instructions in this link:

If you have crackling sounds and interruptions, try the following. Go into settings and change the audio engine to "AE 01 - Original" and restart the app. Now go back to the settings and change it back to "AE 02 - New" and restart again. Worked for me and the unwanted sounds disappeared. If it does not go away, switch to "AE 01 - Original" and see if that works.

Extremely useful, although it often glitches or skips or something and sounds like a loop... Might have something to do with sound wave dynamics, I don't know. Lately it keeps shutting itself off whenever I leave the app, and won't run in the background... in addition, the notification won't go away, saying that brain waves are running when they're not. Please fix this.

I use this app to send Delta Waves "Sleep" preset to my BlueTooth earbuds while I sleep. I really want "Brown Noise" (Similar to "White Noise") mixed in, and I found that I can run the "White Noise Lite" by TMSOFT app with the "Brown Noise" preset at the same time. It is tough to get the relative volume of the two apps to my liking, but I live with it. Having a Brown / white / pink noise option built into this app would be a great enhancement. Problem 1: This app consumes a lot of battery. Even though I am using Bluetooth (not earbuds), the battery level goes from 80% to 43% % in 7 hours. I don't like to leave my phone charging overnight because I want to avoid letting the charge level exceed 80% to preserve battery health. Either this app is wastefully sending the low frequency sounds to the headphone jack, or the ads are consuming too much power. Note that I have the White Noise App running at the same time (with ads), and it does not consume nearly as much battery. Problem 2: Since I am running two apps at the same time, I noticed that I can't hit the "back" key on my Galaxy Note 5, without causing the "Brain Waves" app to stop playing. I consider this an annoying bug. My workaround is to start the "White Noise Lite" app first (which does not stop playing when I hit the "back" key). Then I start the "Brain Waves" app. Was really frustrating, until I figured out that I have to launch the apps in a specific order. The "Brain Waves" app will stop playing in other situations way too easily. Problem 3: I tried manually setting the frequencies 57hz and 53hz. This is really difficult given the way the user interface has you adjust each ear separately, and the slider bar is way too sensitive (useless), and the +/- buttons, which increase the frequency by 0.01 hz (are not sensitive enough). Yes you can save a custom preset once you find one you find one you like. Still, it should not be so hard to tweak the left vs. right ear frequencies. I gave up and started using Delta wave "Sleep" preset which uses 75hz and 73hz. I would prefer to be able to tweak the frequencies, but the frustration factor when you are trying to relax for sleep is ironic.

Would give 4 1/2 stars. Not enough presets compared with similar aps. I like that the sound is being generated though as opposed to a loop. That can really take you out of it if it's done poorly. Round out the presets and it'd be 5 stars easily. Love the simple interface that allows for detailed control despite it's simplicity. When it comes to this woo woo stuff I tend to trust a slick streamlined simple app far more than one that tries to look pretty and shiny with unnecessary graphics.

This is my favorite binaural beats app. I use it every day to meditate & alleviate anxiety, depression, & migraines. (1) STELLAR quality, no static/distortion. Generated beats, no loops. (2) Type in your specific frequencies. (3) Separate gain controls for each speaker, vital for low frequencies on earbuds. (4) Frequency precision to two decimal places. (5) Saving presets. Feature requests? Back up & import presets; creation of tracks with changing frequencies. (Dev, thanks for the response!)

Great app! I see several users experience a scratching sound when screen goes to sleep - like me. I think it is mostly related not to a 'bug', but your device setup, and android: Hints: 1. Turn battery optimisation OFF for this app. 2. If that's not enough then set your SCREEN TO ALWAYS ON while using the app. Then you can set it back. 3. In most of the cases it is enough to press the sleep /screen off phone button by yourself instead of waiting auto screen off. Hope this helps.

I like the layout and the fact that you can control each ear separately, in addition to the way you can adjust the frequency without interruptions. And the ads are not bothersome. Assesories that are usually present is that other apps explain each main frequency category but I just assumed that the developer figured that you already knew the effects of the frequencies...which is fine by me. Maybe if it had an indefinite timer, but that may be a part of the pro version. I don't regret 5 stars!

This app deserves 5 stars - read on to hear why it only has three. I've been using this app for a while now. It's super simple interface and clean design is what brought me and kept me to stay. The fact that it was a tone generator as opposed to a recording of a preset tone is also a big plus. So why 3 stars? At the latest update the fade out feature now has an audible 'clicking' which pulls me away from being centered; can this be fixed?
