It's also available for Android in a simplified form, to view documents in these formats:• Open Document Format (odt, ods, odp, odg)
• Microsoft Office 2007–365 (docx, xlsx and pptx)
• Microsoft Office 97–2003 (doc, xls and ppt)
LibreOffice Viewer also has experimental editing features, which are not yet suited to production use. (Experimental mode can be enabled in the app settings.) The software is open source and made by a worldwide community, so if you'd like to improve the experimental editing support, please join us!
Feedback and bug reports are very welcome, to help developers improve the quality of the application. You can report bugs and attach files here: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org

12/15/24: I installed the latest LOViewer from Play Store today to give it a try. Enabled experimental features, and created a sheet and a doc. Tough on a small screen, but ok. Saved each, and saw nothing upon re-opening. The file size is zero, so create/edit (while there) just don't do anything. My hopes were dashed.

It works seamlessly with my Nextcloud app and is ideal to view and show remote files on the go, namely drafts you haven't finalized to PDF yet. UPDATE: I turned on experimental editing, and I was able to create and save a text document directly to my Nextcloud server. It saved as a generic file; I had to add the .odt extention to its name to open it again (an easy workaround). Aside from that, I'd like to see a Mobile View mode for smaller smartphone screens.

UPDATE: 11/24/23: Thanks to the developers for notifying me about updates to the app. It does open documents for viewing. It's still pretty raw but it does let you view. I hope it becomes more polished and, ultimately, more functional. ORIGINAL: 2018: Would not open anything. Really wish this was a functional app. I'm all in on LibreOffice so get the android app up and running.

UPDATE 2/2024: App seems to work fine now as a viewer; to be fair, that's all it's labeled as, so I am adding 2 more stars. But minor calculations are still out: A (fairly simple) worksheet I made via computer (where file works fine) gives errors if I use it here. ☹️ But TY!! Original review, 2016: Sadly, I can't even open the app. It insta-crashes on every single click. I tried Uninstalling, but even a reinstall did nothing. Would love to see/try if it becomes stable for me to try someday...

Displays diagnostic " attempt to get length of null array" when first started immediately after installation. And after installing, attempting to open a. ODT file in MyFiles viewer says there is no app for it. you have to use only the file browser built into Libre office. But... copy and paste does not work. Update: Install " Open document reader" by T. Taschauer instead. It seems to work perfectly.

I love Libre office on my desktop and laptop. Unfortunately this app on android has no use for me. Had to uninstall after 3 minutes. At all efforts to access my SD card immediately crashes. Therefore was never able to view a single document with it. I wish the developers well and I'll gladly try again in the future if there is some update made available.

When it comes to editing documents more than a few times I've had files not load properly, or at all, after editing. Lost quite a bit of progress using this program, when it works it's great but getting what is essentially a file viewer/word processor to work properly should not be such a monumental undertaking. Just wished this one worked

I imported a multi-sheet .ODS file including a graph. Everything displayed properly. Well done. The trouble is, with hundreds of rows it would be nice to sort or filter the data (it even showed the filter symbol at the top of the column!) A promising start, but not a patch on the Windows equivalent.
