I got into this game and was kind of disappointed in the end. It's meandering and kind of pointless. The writing is ok. Could use some help. If i never see the word "wry" written again, it'll be too soon. I wonder if the author knows it means "dry, mocking humor"? It doesnt really work with the character anyway, but it's used 1,000 times and i hate it. The choices are largely inconsequential and the romances don't go anywhere. Stats menu sucks. Characters have their own voices which is good.

I absolutely ADORED this game. I'm a sucker for anything mythology admittedly, but the world in this story is so well flushed out and each character so uniquely interesting that it would be difficult not to love. I just finished playing through Hades' route and am considerably smitten. It's definitely slow burn, but knowing that there is to be a second book the pacing makes sense. (I read reviews warning that the app wouldn't save but purchasing through hosted games app should fix that problem.)

My new favourite choice game! I've followed the development of the demo for a while and was already impressed, but the full version improves on it tenfold. The only game so far where I can see myself romancing any of the characters, they're all equally realistic and well-written. The lore is interesting, and mostly free of plot holes, so a playthrough with no romance would be worthwhile as well (there are platonic routes available). Definitely worth the price in my opinion

One of the best choice based games I've ever read I Thoroughly enjoyed this Plus it has great replay ability, and I'm already on my second round. But playing it because it's so interesting and just able to draw you in so well

Overall, it's really good. However, none of the romances go anywhere, nor can you be forwarded with any type of feelings for said romance options. It's very much a slow burn that possibly leads to a second book. To be honest, it was a tad disappointing in that aspect. If you like slow burn, then this is for you.

Absolutely adore this game. I've already replayed it multiple times and discover something new everytime I play. The choices feel impactful and I got genuinely emotional at points. Couldn't recommend this enough, and am really looking forward to the sequel!

Pros: Well written Decent World building Decent character development Cons: Repetitive choices Lack of impact with choices No affection meter for characters or player stats Events with side characters are lackluster Too many time skips. Side Characters are overly sensitive to your personal space despite not having any scaring history that would warrant that type of behavior.

Fields of Asphodel was a very interesting experience for me. Both the story and characters are great! Really the only minor complaint I have is that I wish I could choose my own domain instead of being stuck with one. Outside of that, no complaints! I can't wait for the sequel!
