Lots of stories aren't free, but it's so worth it. One gameplay of a particular story took me 2 days to finish, and that was for only one possible branching path. The stories, of course, can vary since hosted games are stories that are hosted by a wide variety of authors and artists. It does its job well enough, being a hub for these stories so you can find and read them easily all on one app, thoughit lacks a lot of features such as a "read later" or history feature.

I really enjoy the stories available, but I can't rate this app higher because there are a few issues with the general menu. It's hard to avoid swiping past several stories on the store page due to some sensitivity issue, and the search tab resetting the order if you tap on a book and then go back. These are small issues, but they have existed for many, many years and it gives the impression they don't really care enough to make these simple quality of life improvements

Golden Rose Book one is excellent. The writing is superb and it was more expensive but way longer than most and the quality made it worth it. I cant wait for book 2. Note that the ending of book one is satisfactory. It doesnt end at an unfitting time like some books do. It stops when part one of a series would stop. Youre not left upset with it. Take note of this. Save your receipt and make your font settings all at default. If not sometimes the statistics won't look right. They answer emails.

The stories provided are great, but the app itself could use some work. The UI is pretty limited, and we can't even sort/organize our purchased library. Hoping for the ability to make folders and the option to show the books we own as list instead of thumbnail grids. Restoring purchase from the individual app is also bugged in some devices.

Lots of great books, to bad I get errors on half of them. Half way or more through and I have to restart, sometimes this doesn't help either and the book doesn't fix at all. Edit: I took away a star because another book stopped working for me, honestly this is becoming annoying. Edit: if you find a book you like look it up in the app store before purchase, if u can get it that way do it. Another book another error and can't fix it.

A good idea, but lousy execution. Restoring a purchase is a hit-or-miss matter, with older purchases pretty much impossible to transfer over. You can also only change settings from the main menu, and you have to exit a game to restart it. Purchases also aren't cross-platform, so it's a pretty niche app as well.

I really, really love the stories. The only thing that makes me reduce that supposedly perfect 5 stars is that the app itself (?) is kinda buggy. I had a rough time trying to "restore purchase" and there's another case where it says I've purchased the game even though I have not. And there's the case which appear in almost every game where some of the stats' names could not be read because they overlap with each other. On the good side, customer service is fast.

I love having all my books in one place, but I wish they worked offline, like the books out of the app do. Maybe an option to just download the books would be nice. On top of this, it doesn't seem to recognize if you've bought books outside the app? But its easy to fix, just one email and it's done. Overall I recommend if you're huge into interactive fiction/IFs!
