This was a very emotional read for me and really tackles the good and the bad parts of parenting and i have played 11 playthroughs and each one had a completely different ending for where my kid ended up. I love this, 5 stars

Yes it costs money but the experience is DEFINITELY worth it. It made me feel emotional over a fictional child without a face. I wish it was bit darker though, you cannot fail. I have played it multiple times and all of them turned out well. I have a longer list of suggestions on the steam group, but before I go I suggest you get a dice roller so you can simulate What the kid wants/things you can't control.

Wonderful game. There was a genuine feeling of my child growing up over time, going from a baby to an increasingly independent human with her own opinions and views. It felt like the game went pretty easy on the player, in that all arguments and problems were ultimately pretty straightforward to solve, and it was never hard to maintain a good child-parent relationship. But that just made it into an enjoyable feelgood experience.

This game does exactly what it set out to do. It makes you a parent and leads you through 18 years of interactions. The narrative has a tendency to jump from life experience to life experience. The book itself moved very fast from year to year. It's somewhat fun to raise a child virtually, and yet a bit boring. The few scenes a year while a good representation of what it's like to raise a child still broke my immersion a bit. My child grew up really fast. Time flies. Performs as advertised.

More like 2.5 stars. Not worth the 3.99 price tag. Not many decisions/choices. Some of the consquences of parenting don't align. For instance, my child apologised for bullying, did charity work, learned the value of hard work and ended up a less than empathic person. The only play mode is as a single parent. Intresting, yes, but it would add another dimension to the game with a two parent system. There needs to be more to the gameplay to justify the cost.

Emphasizing more on the emotional aspect of parenting, which is perfect for this kind of game. Would be great if you give us option for having more than one child. Like through adoption or having a twin or something like that. And about having to pay to advance after chapter 5, pretty okay with that. Although it is a game, it's more like a novel and the price is still quite reasonable for a novel. If they give you ad popups, you might still gonna complain about it anyway.

Finally bought the game, & I love the way it's witten! It's detailed, heartfelt & so funny! I'd love to see some stats on the kid's abilities tho (like acting/intelligence etc.) and not just parenting style. Also, while the game mentions mulitple times that money is short, you never actually have financial problems, as too few choices reduce your money and expenses are practically nonexistent. Finally, the game fails to mention some negative parts of parenthood & almost all events are positive.

I love it so much. But maybe you could add more options. Like multiple babies or more hobbies or the options for the kid to stay in the thing you pick for them to do? Like they always end up loosing interest in the clubs or sports they are put in but it'd be cool if they would keep an interest sometimes. And it would be super awesome to have options to raise neurodivergent kids because its inclusive and more realistic. Other than that its a great game.
