I actually purchased this book. I feared for my life a few times and was surrounded by pirate situations consistently. Never knew what keelhauling was before this. [dragging someone under the boat with a rope]. Lots of fighting, stealing, drinking, and liars. A twist at the end that I liked alot. Only issue was it was very short and If you don't make the stat check you will have a horrible ending. It's a fun little pirate story.

I've never played a more trashy and bad game. This is so bad. Barely any story, you're forced into decisions, especially ones involving "impressing" female characters otherwise the alternative is bad. Also you have to be attracted to women to play this otherwise it'll just get you mad. I played for 1 min and the game was finished. Not worth the money at all.

It has the potential, great potential to be a good story but its pains me with it's lack of length and content causing it to be so short and killing immersiveness with it. It is definitely unworthy of its price tag. There are other story that charge as much but have like 2-4 times longer in depth story and that's how it suppose to be for that price. Hell some even give that much for free with great content such as Great Tournament series. So yeah, would not recommend anyone buying this story.

A decent read but pitifully short that it was just plain ol' unsatisfying. Pacing moved way too fast to tell the grand pirate adventure it promised at the beginning.

I really love these stories and how they make me feel as if I'm actually part of the action. I also love how it makes me want to keep reading that is until I reach a certian point to where I have to pay for more of the chapters to go on and then find out that ounce you do pay it's not very long or all that. It makes it feel as if the other half the paid half is written by someone else. I'd like it even more if the 2nd half was free also since the 1st half always seems better

While it was short, the story is very entertaining start to finish. Also it does what not many CoGs do (which I really have always wanted in a few other games) and gives the player the option to see what amount of skill you need for certain actions/choices to succeed ,which if you are like most players, is good since it helps you go for a different route on your next playthrough. I hope more games give that option and hope to see more from this writer.
