Used to love this application, was able to quickly share and receive files, links and copied text between my ubuntu laptop and my two android devices. But since the update to Ubuntu 22.04 lt's just been super unreliable. If you send a file from the laptop to your phone the connection is lost and you have to refresh again to be able to send another one or more recently it just loses connection while you're still sending. The clipboard hasn't worked in both directions for a long time.

Fixed indeed in 1.32.5. Full marks reestablished. Update: With older versions email notifications on my phone would appear on my Linux desktop as well. With the latest version that is no longer the case. The only thing that has changed in my setup (Android and desktop) is the KDE Connect app version. Losing two stars as a result.

WORKAROUND FOR CRASH: 1. "Clear data" for KDE Connect on phone ("Settings" > "App info" > "Storage"). 2. Re-pair with computer 3. Disable "Remote Keyboard" plugin on both PC ("Available plugins") and phone ("Plugin Settings"). Great app, been using it a long time, very useful. Unfortunately the latest update has made it unusable without the above workaround, and it crashes after starting. EDIT: fixed, back to 5 Stars!

The latest version does break things. I got it working again by turning off wifi and then clearing the application memory and data (settings->Apps->kde connect). This should also clear the pairing info. I then turned off a bunch of plug-ins and set it to NOT trust all networks. I then started fresh. Turn wifi back on and you should be good. I started turning the plugins back on and narrowed it down to these three: Mouse receiver Recieve notifications Recieve remote keypress

Absolute godsend of an application. However, Google's increasingly heinous storage restrictions make anything involving files a nightmare... Just recently, they even blocked the Download folder from being used, so send/receive files does not work with default settings. Incredibly disappointed in Google's decisions to cripple this application...

Happy to change this to a 5 star once it is fixed, but latest version has broken the app. Pixel 7 and pairing with Linux Mint. After pairing and trying to send files, the app just keeps crashing. EDIT: changing this back to 5 stars. They fixed the problem in less than a day. How can you beat that customer service! 🌟

Ok, the update fixed my issue and I can connect to my Kunbuntu PC again. One question though, and this is something that's kind of bugged me from the beginning. On my phone, the app stays active all the time. Is there a way to close it and only launch manually when I'm ready to connect? There's no app interface or settings that I know of.

Weird bug I saw many times in kde connect with windows. Sometimes the app just can't find the other devices, but I checked, other apps like syncthing, local send can connect with my pc just fine. Both of these apps works locally like kde-connect. So it must be a kde connect issue. This can be temporarily fixed if I use tools like wifiman or net analyzer in my android to manually ping my windows 11 pc, then kde-connect suddenly connects with the PC. Please fix this 🙏🏻
