The app crashes easily; live feed of cctv videos run for not even a complete 1 minute, and they're frozen. The app was never like this last time. Will the DVR reboot function help? It is found inside Control, but not responsive upon pressing but causes the app to crash. Please kindly help.

I have been using this app before it was replaced with the current version, it use to be called iwatch. This version never allowed me to view my cameras while I'm away, it only works for viewing while at home. That's pretty useless because I have monitors at home, would like to view while I'm away. Whole point of the app in my opinion. Update: The app was at least working when I was home, now after latest update it just keeps crashing and will not even open.

I've been using SoCatch for many years on an android phone. It worked great up until a year or so ago when it was updated. Now, the app us constantly down. I try uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Then it just starts working again. I also downloaded app on my ipad and desktop with no issues, just the phone. Still not working as of 12/7/2020

Not great, but bad either. The only issue i have with it is that if your internet connection isn't great or you're in an area with low signal it isn't gonna work well. But when it works, it works great! Just would be better if it worked regardless of how bad/slow your wi fi is or how bad reception your mobile data is. The creators of this app definitely need to fix this and update it asap. Overall a very good solid app.....when it works.

I have been using the Socatch iWatchDVR app for icatch/proview DVR's for many years. It has been good software for good DVR's with only minor glitches compared to the rubbish software that is all too often supplied by uninterested companies for their cheap and shoddy DVR's. It has worked reliably for years and I cannot remember it crashing on my Samsung mobiles. Oops, now the 1st bad MISTAKE from andi pratama and iCatch. On the latest version installed on my Samsung Android mobile, ver 1.4.5 January 2021 from Google Play Store, there is a "settings cog" at the top of the initial app page where a DVR can be selected from a list of the various DVR connections already defined. In the "settings" panel, the only parameter displayed is "Try to use Hardware decoding." which is defaulted as "ticked". This parameter has created a new issue where this Socatch/iWatchDVR app would crash very time I selected a connection to my DVR on the initial screen. I only found this faulty parameter setting by luck. As a potential quick fix suggestion, try changing the default for the "Try to use Hardware decoding." parameter to "unticked" and save all your existing fans the torment of finding this fix for themselves.

Rubbish. The app glitches so often it's practically unusable. Either buffers or says connection failed. So can't use it most of the time. Sometimes the update will fix the bug but the next time it updates it does the same again. It's a complete waste of time having this app.

Notification/alert doesn't work anymore. I used to be able to receive motion detection notification before, but after the last 3 or 4 updates, I can't get any notification. Now this whole system becomes completely useless. Should have gotten the Dahua DVR, their app works better. Please fix the problem! 2021/04/28 It's been almost 2 years since my last review. Still no fixes. Well never buy any SoCatch systems again!!
