The guided meditations could be sooo much better! They feel rushed & are the very opposite of soothing/relaxing. I felt like I had the same amount of anxiety if not more afterwards. I did enjoy the timed unguided meditations though. I really liked the bells because they kept me present in case I just so happened to wander off. I also thoroughly enjoyed being able to toggle the depth of the sounds which is a nice added bonus to my meditations & focus. All in all, I don't recommend

Very good app. There are problems with it though. If you start a meditation and stop you will start all over. So annoying. Also when the startup meditation is completed most other programs are paid. Which kinda defeats the purpose. They have a few timed ones, but they don't focus on anything. Very frustrating if you suffer with anxiety to find out there are few things to listen to unpaid. It has been helpful but all in all they made it to make money like most "calming" apps.

Really good app, however when listening to the sessions, I wish there was a bell or just a pause before going to the next session, instead of the sessions just playing on a loop. It's better than constantly looking at the circle with dots to know when my 4 minutes are up, especially if you have your eyes closed while meditating. Can you please fix this!!! Otherwise the content, lay out is good. Another great addition to my mindfulness apps. But please consider adding bell at end of each session

Unfortunately, I need to change my review from 5 stars to 2. Though the app says there's a monthly subscription option, there's no way (that I've found) to purchase it in app, I only see the annual option. I've been back and forth thrice with customer service, who insists there's an option in the Google Play store to buy a monthly sub, but I can't find that either. That said, the original points below are still relevant. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Couple of things I really like about the app: 1) Lots of short meditation options. I stay really busy with work and kids. It's nice to be able to sort on duration and find a good 5-10 minute option. 2) I like the option to layer a sound on top of the coach. You can add in waves, forest, river, etc. You can also mix it so the coach is quieter or louder against that sound.

I find it hard to concentrate and relax when the voice is using complex words in rapid succession. It feels like the voice is a student paper using the synonyms option. It's trying too hard to sound smart. Keep the language simple in the "Get Started" section or you will lose people before they ever get to other sections.

Update: I found the subscriptions tab in the play store and it looks like I don't have a subscription. I also updated the mindfulness app and the support tab had better info available. I tried using this app regularly but the meditations and programs were not what I was looking for. Overall I'm glad I tried it, I wouldn't use it again, I would not recommend it to others.

The content that is free is very high quality from several different guides in their own style. There are a handful of meditations and sessions for free and timed/guided meditation. Quite a number of options for trials as you use it for the paid subscription which is where the app really shines. I've got hours of sessions available on various subjects and categories, so of them so far are very high quality. I had no problem picking this up as a total beginner to meditation and mindfulness.

I've tried both the Mindfulness App, Mindworks, and Headspace and while all 3 have their merit this one is the best if for no other reason than one feature the others don't seem to have: the option of a background sound. That one feature helps with my concentration immeasurably and makes the Mindfulness App a cut above the competition.
