Gameplay has been good, and I love the puzzles for helping my kids learn the game as well. However, all the the puzzles with checkmate in more than 1 move always says wrong move, even when making the move suggested by the hint option. I've even verified with my chess board that the first move (which this game says is wrong) leads to checkmate in the required number of moves; and is the only way to get checkmate in the required number of moves.

Honestly, not bad. The ads are about what I'd expect for a free game these days. Though idk if there's a glitch or what, but in the second bishop tutorial I believe it'll only allow me to get 2 stars on completion even though I use as few moves as possible. Unless I've misunderstood how it works, but I've only used a single move to get each star on the board (there are 7 stars and I've only used 7 moves to get them all)

I liked it at first, but there was a glitch that ruined the experience. Whenever I played black it would switch the board state mid game out of nowhere. For example, if I was playing black and winning, the game would turn the board around and force me to play the white pieces instead. It happened 4 times, so I uninstalled the game, hopefully it gets fixed. Update: I gave it another chance and it happened again in the first match.

Great game! Taught me a lot about chess so far; however, so far I have received all of the frames but it won't let me receive the "reach champion level difficulty" and the "beat champion level difficulty" frame ,which I have. The only reason why I am giving a poor rating is to gain attention from the creators so they can respond.

Pretty cool game, the mini levels are a bit too easy, good for newbies. The computer Ai isn't too bad to fight against, it has 7-8 levels of difficulty, I play on beginner difficulty though. As to whether or not the higher difficulty is hard enough for more experienced players, I'll let those more skilled than me review the higher difficulties.

The game was great until now. I am on intermediate two, and I have been forced to restart the game three times now. Instead of letting a move go through that would result in the computer losing, it chooses to stall the game until I decide to restart which puts it down as a loss. So far I have waited for upwards of 25 minutes for the computer to make a move and it just won't.

The AI doesn't know how to promote pawns (even on "Master I (ELO 2500)" level). Please update. Other than that issue, the AI difficulty scales nicely, and I'm learning quite a bit as I progress through the levels. But such a glaring logical error drops my review from 4 or 5 stars to 2. Also, the ads are too long.

The app would be fine overall without the absurd amounts of ads. I also noticed while I was doing the puzzles that a good chunk of them, despite saying "Checkmate in X moves" are not Checkmate at all. I passed the puzzle but the answer is not checkmate. It feels like there is a misunderstanding of what "Checkmate" means as one of the passing answers is taking a piece without threatening the king at all.
