Second time I downloaded this app. Last year I tried once, and gave up because the speed recognized on my spin bike is ridiculously slow( like 5km/ hr, 🙄), and video image was ultra slow-mo. Recently I saw garmin released many new badges with Tacx, and decided to give it a second try. The only program I can use is the demo (I finished the Netherlands 30k, but there was no record, and everything else needs paid subscription (including the taiwan I tried last year). I don't like it.

needs location service so (indoor device!) I'm always digging through the menu to disable gps in locations, while imo Bluetooth should work just fine to establish a connection (ANT devices manage just fine w/o gps reception for locations) update: regression. if i choose power workout, a slope workout starts. the start now button doesn't react. → trainer is now unusable

So far, so good. Nothing extraordinary. Some freezing moments, even when we download the corse in HD. Last week (middle November 2024) I was unable to download the courses, and the next day was good again. I assume that was some kind of systems problem or maintenance, but I did not get any warning. I'll be back for an update. ✌️

Very mediocre integration with the connect app (also from Garmin). Segments of my workout are not converted to laps, making it hard to see how you did on a particular segment. Also, the Tacx Neo buttons to increase or decrease resistance do not work when doing a workout on the app. Resistance set on the workout in watts are not consistent. When I target a wattage for a segment I always end up lower than what I set.

It's a smooth app, no crashes, uplinks great to Garmin Connect, and Strava, the workouts are good! I was a Zwift user for many years, and have had my TacX S for over a year now. Last year I used it with Zwift; no issues. Since giving up Zwift and using the TacX App, I don't see a huge benefit to having Zwift.

Can't get the speed sensor 2 to give metrics on my boost. Using a pixel 8 I have the sensor connected. It will even tell me that I can verify the firmware is up to date in the app. It's sees the device it just doesn't do anything. It worked once but never again

Used to work OK, but now, every button on my interface works EXCEPT for the "Start Now" button. This renders the app useless as I can set everything up and select my workout, but I can't actually get it started because the "START NOW" button does not does not work. It flashes a little when I touch it, but it doesn't actually do anything. Extremely frustrating. UPDATE: And now it's working.....and I don't know what changed.

Would rate this higher, but there is no way to toggle out of ERG mode and adjust the resistance manually. Sometimes I need to follow a power workout but have the ability to ride outside the target power ranges.
