Has potential, but it's just not there yet. First of all, I love the Ubiquiti ecosystem, I had a dream machine and several APs and they all worked so well, the next natural progression was to get some cameras and a doorbell. Having previously used ring, this I have to say is bitterly disappointing by comparison. The ring just "worked" this however is a headache. When someone rings, it seldom connects straight away, by the time you close and reopen, delivery has gone. Please improve!

Most video playback has stopped working. I can sometimes get it to work by flipping phone horizontally and then vertically again or by skipping the video and skipping back to it. Most of the time it's a black screen with the three thinking dots on the bottom left. This occurs with both new notifications or previously recorded videos. I've tried deleting all app data and cache and completely uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Also reformatted the hdd in the hub. No change in behavior.

So after a few months of use the only real problems I've ran into is the geo fence exiting, and entering is sometimes horribly slow. It would be nice if we had a way to see where it thinks I am, and a way to override the geo fence detection, and flip it to home when I get home for example. It's been very annoying the past few weeks with it sometimes taking hours before it picks up that I left home.

Alarm/detection management is no longer a working feature. This kills the app usefulness and thus, the entire camera product line. Enpoopification has arrived. Documentation is non existent, products now focus on expensive AI vs simple motion. You get alerted without: An image of the event, A link to the event, What device triggered the alert, What kind of alert it is. But you can be notified that (something) happened. Oh, and they added webhooks. Look for alternatives, unifi is done.

Have had a number of issues over the past 2yrs, most usually go away after enough updates...currently im trying to update my custom schedule for notifications but when I hit save....yeah, it doesn't save. Can't change the schedule at all at this point and I'm very frustrated.

When scrolling through video it will often resize the screen cutting sides off of it.. Not okay. Not trying to adjust the screen size. Don't want it to confuse screen size adjustment for scrolling video. Fast forward or rewound. Not okay. Please update Still no response or resolution.. Will keep dropping stars until it's addressed.

Stop forcing pop-ups for smart detection if disabled in settings. It continues to show the alert that smart detection is available even if I hit not now. I am fully locally hosted, so to enable it, I would need an account... not necessarily at this time to keep forcing me to say not now.

The app keeps popping up a message trying to get me to enable smart detection but now it just won't ever go away, the app is completely unusable now because of the popup. The Protect update also broke the desktop web app too, so my cameras are all completely unusable again. This isn't the first time the Protect update has broken the web app, and updates to fix the broken functionality are really really slow to be released. I wonder how many months until the fix is pushed out...
