I love RNZ but this app can be frustrating. For the 2nd time in about 6 weeks it has frozen and won't let me in and I am unable to listen to the radio live or recorded content. Then I have to reinstall the app to listen to the radio. Also if I am listening to a podcast in my car, each time i have to stop at a destination it obviously stops the recording but on resuming my drive the recording goes back to the beginning again rather than resuming where I left off.

RNZ is my favorite news source but I'm at my wits end with this app. In the app's settings I have turned off notifications for everything except 'breaking news' yet I still get bombarded with unwanted notifications about sport and frivolous puff pieces. I _want_ notifications about breaking news from RNZ! But it looks like I'm going to have to turn off notifications entirely because RNZ considers sports results and an article about someone making pies in the US to be "breaking news." Ridiculous.

Great for nz news and the listening to RNZ National Radio & program features. App interface design is a bit clunky, putting the navigation buttons (back button) in different places. It should be placed consistently in the same corner each time. The app defies re-orientation to landscape or upside down when the device(phone or tablet) is turned. This should be corrected to allow for those orientations. Finally the myQueue has stopped downloading and will not store any items. Update fault?

Randomly cuts out frequently. Only works reliably on my fibre connection at home. When away from home it's useless. I use 4G data on a modern phone, in areas with excellent reception, and my settings don't restrict data-heavy apps in any way. It's weird that RNZ cuts out, but I can still listen to internet radio from around the world, watch YouTube, use TVNZ apps etc

Simple, Fast and Reliable. I have tried so many apps, but this is far better than others. Because it has no ads at all and very clean interface. The main thing of this app which make it better than others is its Headlines. Very straitforward and one can easily understand. I wish other major news sources do the same. (Thank you very much, and sorry for my grammer).

I've been using the RNZ app for years, both for the text content and the streaming audio. But I recently developed a slight visual impairment and would very much prefer to have the app in dark mode (white text on black background) and be able to zoom the text if needed. Accessing RNZ's website using Chrome with the inverse RGB flag enabled lets me use it in dark mode and zoomable but then why use the app? Thanks. Also,, can I please turn off notificatuons for sports? Zero interest in Playtime.

Generally ok but it needs an option to get just the notifications you want. If you just select the breaking news option you still get notifications for things like sports (even minor ones) and you get multiple notifications when the same news items are updated.

Search doesn't work. And it would be good if it was possible to open and zoom graphics and photos in the app. Unfortunately it is currently impossible to see details or read small type in the app on a phone which is a serious limitation 👎
