I was really excited about this app, but when I go to search for a very popular river, it's not an option in the search bar. Also, I am trying to look at the rapids, and not one rapid is named. Yes, my button is on to show the rapids. This app is advertised as having all these features. However, it is not complete, and I feel I got ripped off paying for what I could find on Google maps or other map versions.

Great potential but buggy as all get out. Literally unusable. I try to load data from a local dam and they can't load the data for water conditions other than water temperature. I have to launch another app which can give me depth and flow. If I check another spot down the river suddenly I can't zoom in/out or select the next checkpoint on the river as it just does nothing. Relaunching the app will fix it but only for the first minute of use. Great potential if it actually worked for once!

This app is terribly unreliable and it has constant issues. It freezes up and I have yet to be able to access the maps offline that I download. Not happy with it's poor performance especially for the price. I would think for $30 I could at the very least use the app for what it advertises.

Lots of possibilities. But the free version is very glitchy and lacks a lot of detail, like maybe dangerous dams on the Susquehanna that need to be portaged river left. And kayak campsites. Been using onX for my map planning for years. Paddle Ways has promise, but it's almost twice the price of onX and has shown enough value for me. At $20 a year I'd support, but not $50. Mods, message me if things change.

Extremely lacking. The one good feature is it will let you measure water miles provided you're not navigating one of the Great Lakes. Water access point information is badly incomplete and doesn't distinguish between boat ramps and docks. It's also so lacking in campsite and campground information that it's essentially useless for that purpose. Natural Atlas is better in essentially every way except being able to calculate water miles (and I wager they could add that with some badgering).

I like it! I'm new to the area so this app has shown me boat ramps and lakes that I wasn't familiar with. Mapping out restrooms is a nice feature as well. Excited to see how the app continues to grow. There do seem to be a good bit of pop ups about subscribing to the app, but nothing that times you out or prevents further usage for not subscribing. Additionally, it would be nice if the mapped rivers had their classes listed but I imagine that would rather time consuming/difficult.

Seems like a great all around app.. Have used to find some local places to put in that I don't know about! I just wish there were a few more free features. I don't get to get on the water enough to justify a subscription. Even tho it's not really a lot. Might try premium one day if I find more paddle time.

Was happy to see a new app for paddling trips that wasn't entirely crowdsourced, but was disappointed with the lack of content. None of the major rivers or lakes in my state were mapped at all. It seems that this app was designed primarily for whitewater paddlers, as the few rivers that showed on the map were mostly in mountainous areas. I definitely wouldn't subscribe to an app that's yet another crowdsourced alternative to Go Paddling.
