Extremely concerning uncompromisable permissions required by this app. It requires access to location information (yes, I know this could just be Wi-Fi info), requires to be running in the background at all times, access to your contacts, access to your files, and record audio. Denying any one of these will not allow you to use the app. This is a tough pill to swallow concerning there are much more reliable and less intrusive options available. Uninstalled. Be more transparent in your needs.

Could not set up the st500 app on Telstra Essential Smart. When it gets to Allow/Deny of the Do Not Disturn option, it stops and displays "This feature is not available on this device". The mobile is new and has the DND feature. I updated the system software, checked any features that could potentially be an issue, restarted mobile, deleted app and downloaded app again. The result did not change. Very disappointing as I purchased this mobile just to use this app for work.

I installed this on my Android phone and it seemed to work ok - some calls were not being received but I thought this was due to my phone going into Do Not Disturb mode. I then deployed this out to more people in the office, but the receiving calls part did not work for any of them at all - unless the phone was unlocked. After lengthy troubleshooting with our NEC support partner, it turns out that the receiving calls part of the app doesn't work properly unless you have the latest CPU installed in the PBX. If I had known this earlier I would not have bothered.

Feature set works well (transfer, hold, calling) with the SV9100 (CP20); having got to grips with the TLS configuration, I've also got it functioning over 4G as well as WiFI. The other thing to note - in the profile, you can set the app to use Mobile/Wifi/Any, Unfortunately, the ANY category should be rewritten as EITHER as you cannot call out when the phone is connected via Ethernet. It registers OK when connected via Ethernet but gives a Dial Error on outgoing calls and "SIP Out of Range" error if called from another device on the same PBX.

I have held off writing a review for months to see if the issues can be fixed. Updated review - to credit have fixed WiFi. However still drops calls as certificate issues. Permissions horrible with no explanation. Horrible UI. Won't connect over wi-fi (I'll repeat that as it's so ridiculous for its purpose)

App does not work on Telstra network, A big reason we invested in the SV9100 was the functionality that was to be provided with this app. Have waited over 6 months for this issue to be resolved with Telstra and NEC. Do not invest in NEC hardware. Save your money and look at the other options in the market. Sick and tired of hearing it's an issue with Telstra or NEC. These are multi billion dollar companies who specialise in communications and yet they can't resolve a simple issue.

Way below standard for such a big company. Battery drains in minutes if left on and no option for optimization. Very basic in general with limited usability. Very little functions in the app that are useful. Contact do not sync via app so to be able to have the conatct of clients of the company these have to manually be uploaded to the mobile handset and that mixes these with the private contacts of the mobile handset!!! Not very practical system and very old fashion.

Did have a problem with it not connecting after dialing a number. Turns out that will the Bluetooth On it trys to use Bluetooth even though there is no difference to connect to. Turned off Bluetooth and all is well.
