Kitty Hawk was easier to use. With this app, I can't figure out how to simply take off even though it's easy to find the macro fly option. If I can't take off, I can't fly in cases where DJI fly won't let me. A tutorial would be helpful that specifically answers this question, though it sounds as though it's not an option at the moment with the Mavic Air 2 due to need for updating. Also this app frequently has random errors with not letting you request LAANC to the max amount per FAA.

1/4/25 I love using Aloft AirControl to track and log my drone fleet. I've been using this app for over a year now, it's great. Today I had an issue adding assets, but Jon responded in realtime with chat support. We got to the bottom of my issue and I'm back in business! Thank you Aloft!

PIECE OF TRASH!! I installed this updated version of the software (THAT WORKED BEFORE THE UPDATE) on the fly. A gorgeous sunrise shot was absolutely wasted, because this useless garbage dump of an app made it thoroughly impossible to even take off. It kept prompting for an LDM update that was nowhere to be found. I ended up using Air Map to fly. Thanks for wasting my time, wasting my battery life and ruining great footage.

Totally useless. I did read some of the recent reviews warning about this app freezing people's phones. I took a chance and downloaded it anyway to my S22 Ultra. It launched fine. But when I hit "Fly", my screen went black and started flashing between a black screen and my phone home screen. Phone became completely unresponsive. Couldn't even quit the app. Had to hold power button down for a long time to hard reset. Terrible app almost bricked my phone. Gave me a scare. Uninstalled.

Edit: Aloft support was very responsive to my request for help, and the login issue was fixed with a new release the next day. Uprating from one to four stars. (Original post: Crashes right after login on both my Android devices. I see I'm not the only one experiencing this. Aloft, what are you doing about it?)

Unusable. Open LAANC and it says I need to enter my phone number. The enter phone number button on the dialog is disabled. So I go to my account info in the app and it doesn't actually save the number I enter. The reset password link goes to a "File not found" error page. Clearly not tested by anyone that gives a damn and the replies to reviews prove they're incapable of developing workable apps with plenty of time to fix the things people are clearly describing in their reviews.

I was made to switch to the new app from the old app (firmly Kittyhawk). Haven't been able to use the app at all. It crashes as fast as it loads on the phone screen and is completely unusable. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times and it still does the same thing. App is now completely worthless and useless. Uninstalled and switched to another LAANC app that works so much better. Don't recommend at all.

Nearly froze phone. S22 ULTRA. Screen started flashing very fast and couldn't exit to close program. Continued to swipe up to close and finally was able to close program. It happened when trying to get authorization. Too bad. It looked like it would have met my needs for drone preflight checklist, LAANC, etc. Uninstalled quickly. Will keep looking. Thanks for trying.
