The Veggie Garden Planner provides you with clearly arranged information that you need to quickly compose your vegetable garden patch. Before purchase we provide a free download so you can see for yourself what value the app provides.
Choose vegetables that harmonise well together. You will find information regarding good/bad neighbor plants for each vegetable.
For your chosen garden composition you get tabular overviews to quickly determine sowing/harvest times, and which interactions exist between vegetables.
As an bonus feature, you can visually arrange your vegetable patch with our Patch Plan Editor - with vital information regarding planting distance & good/bad neighbors at your fingertips.
Note regarding the climate zone: The seedtimes and harvesttimes are adjusted to hardiness zones USDA 7-8 (e.g. Atlanta, Seattle or Central Europe). Please adapt accordingly.
Our garden planner helps you to quickly and clearly select your desired vegetable and fruit varieties. Improve your harvest by the right plant location, whether sunny location or depleted soil. Then simply plant low-growing plants that will thrive ideally with the sunlight in your garden.
Companion planting:
Pay particular attention to mixed cropping, making sure your planned vegetable varieties get along well with each other in the bed and garden. You will find information on good and bad neighbors for each variety.
Once you have selected your planned vegetables, you can quickly see the interrelationships between the varieties on the neighbor overview. In the clear calendar you can immediately see which vegetables need to be sown when, and from when they can be harvested.
Patch planner:
As a bonus feature, you can use the virtual bed plan to create your patch and freely arrange your desired vegetable varieties. Essential information such as planting distances, location selection, nutrient requirements and good/bad neighbors are displayed directly.
Multiple patchs:
You can also create multiple beds - even for several years. Simply take over the plantings from the previous year and optimize your bed according to your needs.
Own varieties:
If our large selection of vegetables, fruits and herbs is not enough for you, you can also create your own special varieties. For example, take the data of a vegetable and edit it. Take your own photos of your vegetables and customize your varieties.
Pre-plan on the tablet:
Pre-plan your bed on your tablet - save your planning in the cloud - with your smartphone you can wonderfully track or optimize the planning in the garden.
Note regarding the climate zone: The seedtimes and harvesttimes are adjusted to hardiness zones USDA 7-8 (e.g. Atlanta, Seattle or Central Europe). Please adapt accordingly.

Has potential, but it's hard to see what I'm doing while making the plot. it's somewhat useable on my phone. But the info only appears when pointing at a plant but that means the info will be covered by my fingers. On my old Asus tablet no names appear on the plants and no info appears at all. A bit more clarity and compatibility would make this a great app.

You know a little bit of instruction on how to use the app would be really appreciated. I paid to get it and have no idea why I can't place all the veg I picked & can't find out if I've signed up to keep being charged. I don't think I've seen an app with so little instruction. And if there are instructions, I can't find them.

A decent app overall, but would benefit from some tune-ups. I like being able to customize the garden sizes and move things around, and have more than one garden layout at a time. It would be great to have the option to customize location or at least the hardiness zone to make the calendar more accurate for each user.

Really like the function and feel of the app. Would love to see a roadmap of planned changes from the dev since it has a paid tier. Would be nice to see: More plants in the list. It's pretty basic right now. The option to change growth zones And a place to store different soil measurements on the plot map. PH/Nitrogen levels. Or even just notes.

The app is a great idea as such, but the handling of the 2D garden planner is terrible. I tried to setup my garden patch, but then the positioning of each bed is cumbersome (it really needs that lock function if you do not constantly want to mess up). Scrolling is rather hard, zooming on a 27m x 17m patch is terrible (slow and often incorrectly recognized). Finally I wanted to put some plants onto the beds and it put the plants underneath the bed. A plant should never be hidden by the bed.

You can't really explore the app until you pay $2.99 only a little. It doesn't ask for a zip code or city for your zone. It's just a broad 3 or 4 month planting and harvesting. The garden plot planner is kinda cool I guess. I wouldn't purchase again though. It's not that good. There are better apps for planting vegetables that are free.

App is very basic. Paid for the upgrade (very cheap) Improvements needed for 5-Stars.... Would be better and worth more stars if developers added more fruit and veg types as there isn't a very large choice, also would be good to add different varieties of each fruit/veg type so that you can select the exact crop you are growing rather than just the generic type. In addition to that, would be good to add companion flowers too.

I was really excited about this app, but once I started my excitement died real quick as I was building my list of vegetables for this season and when I got 6 veggies on the list I had to purchase the vegetable from them to put it on the list! I can't stand apps that force me to purchase stuff! I might have purchased the app or even some veggies any hoo waste of my time and the developers loss!
