The app works well. It can be a bit hard to get it to connect locally when using network storage. The app doesn't have network capabilities that are easy to use. Feb 8, 2020 After using the app for several years now, I'm satisfied with the features. But, the interface of the smartphone app is looking just a bit dated. Also, there is no support for Google Docs / Sheets / Slides files as is for Microsoft Office files. This is a drawback.

Originally I was happy with the app and windows version, setting it up on my personal and work accounts and paying for the multiple accounts version. After 3 years of flawless use MS Windows made some type of file change in Oct. 2019 that straight broke Boxcryptor on my work computer. I contacted their "support" which I was paying to have and found them completely worthless. Over 6 weeks they failed to respond most of the time, and when they did it was with worthless suggestions of how to help.

Uploading duplicates issue (won't tell you which file is a duplicate so I have to upload all duplicates again just to add one new file, let's say), can't view photos despite being logged in (have to open every photo file to view it or else I only see Boxcryptor icons), and upload fails completely if number of files you're trying to upload exceeds 6...besides that, good program!

No way to upload any photos from my device to boxcryptor. MY content is ALWAYS watermarked, so even IF MY designs end up elsewhere, buyers will STILL contact ME! Maybe youre not understanding, when i tried to upload my photos from MY devicr, my gallery, its not showing it anywhere and there are no options to do so, therefore, i cannot uplpad my photos onto Google Drive, to then be able to upload onto your encryptor. Its useless for those who WONT trust "Drive"! No point in having app

First day using it but so far so good! Free version works as expected on Win 11 and Android app, using Google Drive storage. I'm impressed with the concept, although it took some time to understand exactly what was happening. Now that I get it, it's super simple. I intend to use this as a replacement for AxCrypt which crippled the free version too much :(

Great product. It just works. I use on multiple Windows 10 machines (heterogeneous hardware) and android LG G8ThinQ. I have paid for the annual subscription because it gives piece of mind to store everything on the cloud. Hint: get a password manager such as keepass and store it encrypted through boxcryptor on cloud storage. Now you always have access to your passwords and the file is always up-to-date. Your passwords are now double encrypted with zero hassle.

Refuses to upload any files. I tried various file sizes. It just stops without warning and that's it. Nothing is uploaded. It just quits. (The app does not crash, it just stops uploading as if nothing ever happened) Other than that, that app seems like it would be great. But for me, it is just for looks and is absolutely useless.
