I removed a star because if you want to backup your pics from your phone, they won't put them in the albums you have them in. I have thousands of pics so it's impossible to find the one I want. Also, they don't give instructions on how to manipulate the files in their app. They fine you the option to "share", but not how. I have their app on several devices and all I can do is "read only" or manipulate the file on my laptop.

The upload speeds leave a lot to be desired but all around for an app with a one time purchase lifetime plan, it's really well rounded. Being able to sync my laptop and desktop with each other has done wonders for my productivity. I would recommend backing everything up onto an external drive occasionally since Pcloud has a bit of a history of accidentally corrupting people's data. Overall, it's a solid cloud platform for syncing your files.

Everything was good until I had a problem and customer service pretty much said your loss. I had a ghost subscription that was somehow conflicting with another subscription for the same account. What do they do? Collect the money though it was supposed to be an upgrade. I mean I went from 3 years loyal to ready to leave.

Re-reviewing this: The devs helped me fix a couple glitches (1. the cover art not showing in the streaming mixes, 2. I was unable to log back in, and e gave a detailed set of instructions to help me bring back my account and my savings shown on my phone). So, it all got cleared up… *phew* [wipes sweat off my face]. The devs are more present and more active for help in this regard (which is much different than most apps devs; I'll tell you that much). So that gives another relief there, as well.

When I started using pCloud it was solely for backing up my music collection. The playlist feat changed everything. Upload my music, add to my playlist, and listen. Plus its all secure, files, photos, movies, I love this app. Went ahead and purchased lifetime. Fast smooth function & no problems in the background & stays quiet if I haven't used it for a couple days. I also like how sharing a file, the other user has no problem figuring out how to play or download. Solid app I trust & recommend

There's a lot of problems with syncing pictures from my phone, and the syncing on the computer is very confusing makes it very hard to know what files to work with. It also doesn't seem as if there have been any updates or advances in the software in a very long time.

7/18/24 Update: This app works much, much better than it used to. No gripes anymore 👍 7/28/20 I love pCloud!! My only gripe is the poor video retrieval. Video playback virtually impossible because they will not load. pCloud would be the perfect storage if the file retrieval speed was greatly improved.

I LOVE pCloud, but on android right now it really is more of a cloud media-only app than a true file cloud. (forgive brevity) 1) Need native file access to offline files OR able to save entire folders 2) Sync folder would fix 1 and the media-only feel 3) Internal music player has strange UX 4) NEED folders selection for music; don't want to listen to ringtones/VM Until it's a true file cloud solution, I don't think I can recommend if you're mostly on android. (I'd love to update this review!)
